Gauging Intrest/For Sale, 1995 Camaro V6 car
Gauging Intrest/For Sale, 1995 Camaro V6 car
126,000 miles, 1995 3.4 V6 Camaro. Mystic teal metallic. Cherry exterior with normal paint flaws from the years. Charcoal grey/black interior, near flawless.
Automatic 4L60E transmission. Always maintained every 3,000 miles, always lubed every 3,000. Fresh waterpump (1 year ago or so) because I started to notice temp was rising, so it has a fresh 1 year old coolant flush. Changed out the intake manifold gaskets for preventative maintainence. That was all done by a ASE certified GM mechanic. Replaced the oil pressure switch because it started to leak -- that was double checked by a mechanic and is working perfect now.
Stock exhaust got holes in it, so I replaced it with a stainless steel SLP loudmouth exhaust w/ SLP dual dual tips.
Wanted to breath better with the exhaust and liked the idea of better fuel economy so its also the first 3.4 V6 car to be running a Lingenfelter Cold Air induction kit.
I hated the looks of the stock wheels so I replaced THEM with 1999 OEM Chevrolet Corvette wheels sporting Kuhmo ASX Ultra High Performance all-seasons. 17x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 out back. 245-40-17 & 275-40-18 respectively.
Always stored winter, only driven in summer.
This is my baby. I am only selling it because I want to get another toy but this time a V8. The car runs GREAT, I would not hesitate taking it on a road trip right now even. If anyone is interested, PM me for pictures and such. This is a great car for even a younger driver -- it has enough power to get around but not enough to get in trouble and the tires grip so much it'd be impossible to get in trouble with it. As I said, PM me if you are interested.

OH, BTW... Has a Pioneer DEHP-6400 (I think thats the model number) CD player with it. I'm leaving the pioneer 6 1/2" speakers in it but taking out my dual 10" subwoofers and amp unless someone wants to buy those with it. So its already pre-wired for a stereo.
edit; yup.. 6400.. http://superstore-electronics.com/pr...r_dehp6400.jpg is it..
edit again;
ALSO have Camaro bra and tail light covers for sale if anyone is interested. The bra is leather and for a 93-97 car. All I did was take it off mine the minute I got home with it and it has sat in my closet since then. Taillight covers should fit any 93-02 car. they're black/smoked whatever you want to call them.

Prove it
Show me a 95 Z28 with less than 126,000 on it thats not ragged for less than $4200..Did an autotrader search. Only 1 Z28 with less than 126k on it for less than 4200 bucks.. But it needs a pass. side fender, and pass side front suspension work because it went in to a ditch. This car needs NOTHING.

I got my 97 z28 with just a few over 100k for 5000. I didn't really even try bargaining it down. It was an awesome car too. I believe your price is way too high as well.

We'll see
When theres 1997 V6 cars selling around here for 11k and 1996 V6 cars selling up the road for 6700.. My 1995 shouldn't have much trouble..
If these are the types of replies I am going to get lock 'er up someone. Didn't post the thread to have people second guess what my car is worth. A dealership would have NO problem selling my car for $4500-$5000. I'll get what I am asking for it, so if you doubt it then deal with it yourself
Im just trying to sell a super reliable super clean V6 car for what it books at.

No one is trying to screw up your thread, just stating a truth. KBB on your car is $3800 for a private party sale, that is fully loaded, in excellent condition.
http://www.kbb.com
If you are really trying to sell your car, you have to make the price reasonable.

My family and I have been in the car business for quite a few years now. Just because people have access to KBB.com and NADAGuides.com doesn't make them car value experts -- I've had many used car managers tell me they'd be able to sell my car for 5,000 easy. Just I wouldn't make any money off the deal because they'd buy my car, trade in, for less than I want for it because it would cut off their gross/profits when they sold it

Edit; forgot to mention this car has a fresh alignment and the suspension is in terrific condition. Hung heads on it and gave it a shake down before she went in to storage.

Re: Gauging Intrest/For Sale, 1995 Camaro V6 car
I'm not trying to **** in your Cheerios, but whatever book you and your brother reference for market values is waaaaaaaay high (his truck is way over priced). Now, I'm not saying that one can't start high, but dealers can afford to sit on a high price, whereas a private seller usually doesn't have the luxury of waiting months for the right buyer to come along.
Case in point, I bought a vehicle from the delearship you work for. They tried to tell me it had a "book value" of $13,750 (they ran it in the LSJ for that amount). Weeks later, I bought it for $9200.
One thing I have learned in life..... "asking price" and "selling price" are usually miles apart. Something to think about (your brother too).

Maybe nobody noticed the OBO... Heres a tip -- always leave room for bartering..
