Gas prices...whewww!
Thank the Lord you don't live in SoCal.
They always bend us over good in this state.
Premium was $2.06 in nearby Temecula, CA 4 days ago. I'm sure it's $2.15 now at least, the way they mess with prices.
I swear.. Out on patrol I see the dudes on every corner with the little pole EVERY morning it seems.. Upping the prices.
Someone ought to run em over.

One station had premium at $1.99 last night. But luckily there was a different station that was still at $1.82 for premium this morning. Since we got a GTP for the wife to drive now we have 2 cars that need premium.
they sux!
FYI: if your in the waterford area on Tuesdays, the BP on Walton just east of Dixie hwy runs specials that day on premium. It was 1.69 last nite!. My drive is 30miles a day to work. I saw LOTS of 1.99 for premium last nite

What makes me so mad is how they do the pricing. Every day they raise the price alittle more. Now when the tanker brings the gas to the station they pay a price for it. That price is the same until the tanker comes again a week or two later. So why does the gas keep going up every day in that one to two week span? The gas did not cost them any more than it did the first day when they got the load. Now if that is not price fixing I don't know what is.
unfortunately gas prices are based on futures. They price the gallon at a rate which will allow them to buy the next tanker full at the prices they PREDICT it will cost them.
I heard on the news today that crude oil was up only 16 cents a BARREL
For some reason that means 20-30 cents per gallon (remember, 55 gallons = one barrel) at the pump...and we as the buying public are not supposed to figure that out...

The value of the gas that is in the station's tank rises and falls. They have to charge replacement value for it. Cost is based on what it will cost them to get more, not what it cost them to get what they're selling.

Hell I remember in 1970 you could fill your tank for under $5.00. It was like .17 cents a gallon at the Giant and Clark stations. Those were the days cheap gas and you didn't have to get a blood test before having sex with a girl you picked up at the bar. I feel like my dad right now and the stories he used to tell.
