FS: VFN LT1 Firebird lift-off hood & stock hood

I sold my Firebird last weekend so I have some parts left over I can't use. Decided to sell the race car and keep my Z28 as a fun street car.

VFN hood has never been painted or pinned to the car. It weighs about 11 lbs. Best offer where someone will pick it up from my house takes the hood.

Also have my stock green hood with very good paint job and the hood hinges for best offer.

Last bit of spare parts is a set of LS1 Z28 16x8 wheels with 225/50/16 tires that came on the Camaro when I bought it in December of last year. They are all in very good shape. Wheels are stock finish, not chromed or polished. 10 spoke style. Best offer takes them too.

Everything is still for sale, best offer. Guys, I don't have to have any money for this stuff. It's just taking up space. If any of you want the parts and can pick them up, just email me.

Why did you sell the road race car? I thought you just got done building it up the way you wanted. Oh well, gives you more time to play around with your Z on the streets.
I may be interested in the tires, how much?

Re: FS: VFN LT1 Firebird lift-off hood & stock hood

The 383 I was building for the Firebird will now be going in the Camaro. I kept all the suspension and powertrain from the Firebird and just need a few weekends to do some transplanting. The Camaro will remain a fun street car though. I find I just don't have the time anymore to maintain a road race car. I have more fun spending time with my 2 year old.

Seriously, if you want the wheels and tires they're yours. Just come and pick them up. Same goes for either hood. Trying to make some room and I know I won't be using any of these parts again.

Thats sweet that you kept the drivetrain and suspension for the Z. That should make an awesome road car, that was what I was going for with my car.
Let me know when I can pick up the tires, I don't need them for daily driving much but I could use them for winter storage/moving. When I park my car in the garage in the winter and move it out to work on something else I can never get my car back up the hill and back in the garage with my tires.

hey mike, I'll take the stock hood from ya. johns firebird (john waskin, not john "JP") hood is a little bent in the corner, and he could use another hood for it. he just doesnt have any cash to offer for it. and Im SURE he'll take the lift off hood too if your giving that away also LOL. give me a jingle if you get a chance later today. Ive been driving the Z finally, but the antennea is way out in dundee at JP's bro's place w/the rest of my junk/Imean car parts.

Chris, you can certainly have the stock hood. Hopefully his car is green if he doesn't have the money to paint it. We have to keep our F bodies looking good ya know?

Oh yeh, I found a guy at work who had a stock antenna. My radio reception is now at least passable, but nowhere near as good as my Dodge truck. Just bought a Rumblebee yellow Ram truck almost 2 weeks ago. Fun truck and fun car. Life is good.

I may hold on to the VFN hood until I make sure there aren't any racers that want it first. It wouldn't be too suitable for a street car.

OK Chris. Maybe if you come by to pick up the hood you can bring my breaker bar back to me.

Howu like hte truck. I love my 04 GTX specially cuz only 433 made in 04' and mines 001.
its got the pick up and go. the onlyt hing i hate is going from the car to the truck the car is a mean fast the truck is a smooth baby quick it never seams like im accelerating as quick as i am in the truck then i look at the spedo and see im doing 80 in a 40 cuz im used teh car where u touch the gas and it rubmles to speed. it takes it easy but meanly to speed. and hte truck is just a smooth acceleration. what sux they made these trucks for going to the grocery center and back. they are coming out with cams now for them. but i wont do nothing to mine till the 7/70 is up at least and id have hte dealership do the work.( IM waiting for mopar to come out with performance parts as i get employee discount on them also)

Re: FS: VFN LT1 Firebird lift-off hood & stock hood

I like the truck a lot. They run low 15's in the 1/4 stock and they're by far the best handling truck out there. At the same time it has a towing package so I can tow the Camaro with it later if I choose. My plan is to tow the Camaro to a road course, run it around the track for a couple of sessions and then do 1 session in the truck. That should be a kick. Gonna lower the truck 1.5/2, then put the Hotchkiss sway bars and Bilstein shocks on it as well as some 305/50 tires.

I work in the same office as the MP guys. I doubt I'll do anything serious to the engine. It would be a lot more surprising to pass people in the turns than on the straight.

Hey Chris, I meant to call you today but got too busy at work. If you're still interested the hood is still in my garage gathering dust.

Gave the Camaro wheels and tires to an A Sedan racer this weekend. If you take the Firebird stock hood that only leaves me with the VFN hood.
