Free to a good home - Rear Axle

I have an old rear axle that I need to get rid of. It appears to be out of a mid 50's GM product and has a front loaded carrier similar to a Ford 9". It's still at my old house and I don't want to move it. It's free to anybody that is willing to come pick it up. The catch... the new buyer is closing on the house on Monday. That means this thing is going to the dump Saturday afternoon if nobody comes and gets it. Let me know quickly if you want it.

Are you sure thats out of a GM? That looks like an 8" Ford to me.

Yup. Definitely from a GM. It has GM cast right into the center section. Supposedly it came out of a roadster that someone made using a 55-57 Chevy chassis that they shortened. That's why the driveshaft is so short.

Did you ever figure out what it was more specifically?
