Finally driving my RS again!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well for those of you who don't know, the fuel pump went bad in my RS the Wednesday night before the Woodward cruise. So I got a tow home and found that the pump had burned up. I bought the pump over a year ago but it didn't get used until August this year, but I decided to send it to BG anyway. Well they sent my pump back with a brand new motor, no charge at all, that made my day.
Well I got it driving again, pump sounds good and I don't think it's gonna ever give me a problem again. I still gotta tune the carb, it's running super rich and fouling the plugs out quickly. I have no A/C, no heater, no radio, no wipers, no exhaust (open Hooker Supercomps, very cool, very loud), and I'm just happy to be driving it again. Sway bars go on Saturday, mabye it won't be so scary going around turns now, hehe. Mabye replacing the 70/30's and 50/50's with Koni Yellows would help too
So there ya have it, next Monday (22nd) the exhaust goes on, and after that will be the Simmons wheels, new gagues, shiftlight, and new shocks.
I love my car
