Final Information On The Motown Muscle Grand Bend Event

The event will be held on Saturday, October 26,2002. We will charge $35 US at the gate. We will open gates at 9am with qualifying begining at 11am.

I had planned on going by ET. Especially considering the fact that imports will be there, it would not be out of the question to see several 17 second cars. No slam to the imports, just to make it fair for everyone.

We are running 3 Bracket Classes Classes.

Class 1-15.0-slower
Class 2- 13.0-14.99
Class 3- 12.99-quicker

None of our cars run delay boxes, so I would like to bill this as a "no delay box" event.Having the more serious racers showing up with delay boxes and such would take all the sport out of it as most of the cars in attendance are street cars.

We will give a first place trophy to the winner of each bracket, obviously 2nd would be the losing dirver in the finals, and 3rd would go to the driver in the semi's that didn't advance, but was closest to their dial-in.

If you need directions you can get them from the Grand Bend website which can be found at http://www.grandbendmotorplex.com/tr...track_info.htm .

Also if you have questions direct them to me at uthinkso2@comcast.net

If you have never run at Grand Bend before aloow me to fill you in. It is not un-common for 13 seconde cars to pull 1.8 short times on radial tires.

With the cool air and great track prep you are justa bout guaranteed to run a personal best.

I'm gonna try and make it out to this event.

Nick - who is running the track? Are you guys doing your own tech and stuff? Or is this simply a TNT day at Grand Bend with them letting us run eliminations.

I've never been to the Grand Bend track before.

I'll be there. GB is a sweet track and it should be a good turnout. Lots of imports were there last time I was there and that was just t'n't!

Nick, any prizes for the winners??

Are ya posting this infor on some import boards too?

Frezz- Grand Bend's staff is running the event for us. It is open to the public so alot of their regular racers are expected as well. It is not a normal Test and Tune day, but we will have time available to make test passes.

99SilverSS-If you read my first post in this thread you will see that there are going to be 1st,2nd, and 3rd place trophys for each class.

No I read that. I meant any cash prizes or things like the KOTH Shootout we had in June. Just wondering??

BTW How did the pictures you took of my car at Stony come out? Is there going to be a die cast made?
