Unfortunately over here in Battle Creek, there isn't much. Every Saturday during the summer the "Misfits" car club holds "cruise-ins" at the taco bell out by the mall. While it's ok...it is mainly old codgers. No real crusing. Everyone has ducktail haircuts with combovers and you'd think anyone showing up in a car newer than 1972 was commiting sacrilege. (Besides, Eric - roadrage - kept showing up and trying to pick fight int he taco bell food line)

I'm trying to change that. I'd like to get some cruise spots going, and have even found a few places that would allows us to use our lot...but it's hard to get people organized. Even our west siders car clube is pretty widely scattered in location, so to get anyone to show up in one place takes a pretty major planning event.

Noone seems to be into the cruise scene on this side of the state anymore Everyone is content to attend a couple "events" and otherwise sit behind their computer and "keyboard race"

Nothing beats a Friday night at the 50's Mc D's on graph.
My Friday night usually consists of me and the kid
going to Mick's for a ice cream and check out the rides in the
lot.
I hear construction is completed so it should be a good
season

Unfortunately "cruising" only takes place in my area in Grand Haven. Some really nice cars there sometimes and the eye candy has it's high points. I've noticed the crowd keeps getting younger and younger and the cops are absolutely horrible. Grand Rapids usually has a great meeting of cars in the old Montgomery Ward parking lot. It's funny sometimes there will be a couple hundred cars in the lot. On one side is all the muscle cars, old and new. On the other side is all the ricers and/or lowriders, etc. It's a blast to get out and walk around to check everything out. On really nice nites it's almost like a car show. I've met a lot of cool people there.

I hit up Telegraph on the weekends. Gratiot is just too far to go just to cruise.

I end up cruising Fort street a lot during the week. I sometimes hit the Roamin' Chariots car shows but I have seen all those cars already. Besides, they don't seem to like modern cars.

I really wish there were a modern muscle car group closer to downriver.

Back a few years ago Dunkin Donuts at 12/ Gratiot was cool. It was mostly american RWD cars that were 14.0 or faster. Thats where I met a lot of people from this board and MM. Ohh those were the days

I used to go up to that Dunkin Donuts too, until it changed to Detroit Donuts and didn't stay open 24 hours.

I mainly cruise Telegraph now (well, when I actually drove my car). The 50's McDonalds always has a decent size crowd, then cruise up th DD's on Joy/Tele. Occasionally Woodward, not very often at all.

Lately, I like to cruise down just south of 8 Mile on John R, and stop in at Centerfolds.

Me and my friends hung out at the Randazzo's lot on Telegraph and Joy Road frequently last summer. The DD parking lot filled up pretty quick, so most people would spill over into the Randazzo's lot. Even that parking lot was getting filled up quite a bit by the end of the summer. Some people would have to spill over into the Rally's lot or the lot behind Wendys a couple of times.

The construction on Telegraph between Michigan Ave and 50's McDonald's looks to be completed. The road is really smooth now. Come summer time, I'm sure I'll be out there.
