Unhappy F-ing injector!!! MY MARTIN US-131 ADVENTURE

Went to the FANTASTIC 131 to race yesterday, WOW... gotta be number one track in MI or Mid-West even. It is GEORGEOUS!
Milan/Stanton can't touch it

Anyway... unloaded car after paying my $40.00 and $25.00 to tow over. Noticed slight gas smell going over to TECH. Opened
hood to at least get the gas smell out of engine compartment before tech guy came over... got passed, went back to pit to investigate.

Ah Ha... #3 injector leaking. Raise fuel rail and remove said injector. Top -O- ring is ate up pretty bad. Try flipping it over and using some silicon on it. Needless to say I have NO -O- rings in tool box but 8 LS1 injectors at HOME! No workie, in fact WORSE!

I figure better to load and go home than burn car up on track. Except for the Wonderful track and finally seeing it, it was one wasted day... EXCEPT for seein' Rebbeca and Joe!
Thanks guyz you helped me through a tough period there!!

HInk

Arrow I gotz extras...

... in the car now darnit but should have had them Saturday!

Al... I seen NO bald spots on the starting line of 131 and when a Mustang made a couple, the starter was pretty quick to rosin them, then spray them with VHT! I was impressed. You can sit right in front of the tower and watch the burnouts and launches facing the cars rears as they leave. Starter was VERY consistant in spraying one lane and then 6-8 minutes later spraying the other and alternating, back and forth!

Anyway got new O-ring on and all is well... gotta get back to Martin, I KNOW on a 75 shot shes gonna bust a mid-low 1.4X
sixty!! You could HEAR the people walking on the starting area,
their shoes going schook-schook!! THATS STICKY!

May try to go back this coming weekend!!

Good seeing you there man! Glad you saw the leak before making a run down the track. Spending the day in the hospital bandaged up with 3rd degree burns thinking of your toasted car would not be a fun way to spend a Satuday. Or any other week day. Or even Sunday.

Good to hear that the problem is fixed now too, always carry spare stuff man. I gotta learn to carry a spare fuel pump whenever I drive my car.
