EVI's Project WS7 - '02 T/A LSX Build

I got some info on a project that Stan Boyd is working on at Engineered Victories in Davison. Should be pretty sweet when it is all said and done. He is keeping a detailed recording of the process on his site. I love these LSX motors. I will try to keep this thread updated on the process.

Copied from EVI's LSX Project Page

The car we will be using is a 2002 Pontiac Trans AM WS6.

The power behind this beautiful '02 Trans Am WS6 is a GM Performance Parts LSX Motor.

Details on the LSX Motor Build are below.
  • Callies 4340 Crank / 3.62 Stroke
  • 2" Rod Journals
  • 6.200" H-Beam Long Callies Rods
  • CP Pistons
  • Hellfire Rings
  • Round Wire locks
  • 9.5:1 Compression (Yes, there will be boost in the future)
  • ARP 2000 7/16" Rod bolts
  • Coated Clevite H Bearings
  • ET Performance LS7 Heads
  • 2.200 Titanium Intake Valves
  • Inconel Exhaust Valves
  • Cometic Head Gaskets
  • 2" Kooks Long Tube Headers
  • LS7 Intake Manifold
  • Jesel 1.8 Shaft Mounted Rockers
  • Solid Roller Lifters

Next Update will include:
  • Our Stock WS6 Dyno Run Numbers
  • Block Will Be Sent to the Machine Shop
  • Details & Photos When the Motor Returns

Should be pretty cool.

Looks cool, though it's been a day with no updates, what gives???

sounds like a killer motor, though to me, 9.5 is too much for boost (go to 8.0-8.5 for REAL boost!!). We'll want video!!!

Yeah, the motor has been sent off to the machine shop for work. When it comes back I will snap more photos, details on assembly, and video of the WS6 as it sits now on the dyno.
