The next Eastern Michigan Camaro Club track rental is Thursday night Sept 9th. The cost is $30 to race. Spectators are free. Gates open at 5:15 PM and racing starts at 6 PM and goes until 9 PM. Please respond here if you are coming out.

I'm going to try to make it out. As long as I can find someone else to drive their car also just in case mine doesn't make it off the track. I'm a bit worried about the rear so no sticky tires for me

Well, I just got back from the event. first off I would like to give a big thanks to Matt for helping me out. And also a big huge mega-sized thank you to The president of the club who's name I can't recall for driving all the way back to his house to get his trailer and bring my car back after I blew the rear end on the first pass... I ran about a 45 second 1/4 mile at about 12mph. coasting down all the way.

 

I also just got back. Kinda dissapointed at how few people there were but on the other hand, getting to race when I wanted to was nice. I got my bald tires to hook up enough to run a 13.464 @ 105.61mph which is my personal best since I've only been to the track one other time. That sucks about your car Eddie, I didn't get to see you run but I got to see the black SS blow the rear on takeoff and the older 60's Camaro blow something and have to be towed off.

 

Thanks to whoever hooked up the event I had a good time.

 

was it blue with white stripes?

if so, it's a 70 and we blew the trans, too many 5000 rpm launches and 8000 rpm passes
