East side convoy

Just to let all the east siders know we will be meeting at 6:30 AM at the BP station right before you get on 696. If you want to join feel free. We will leave by 6:45 to make it to Ionia by 9:00.

If you plan on joining just post so we know how many we have.

that leaves you less then two hours. it will take you 30+ min to make it from 94-275 area and then you will still have a little over 2 hrs. i'll be heading out around 7 myself, watch out for the convoy of trailers passing you guys.

Guys, the BP gas station they are meeting at is on the eastside of MOUND ROAD south of 12 Mile, (and just north of the Mound Road entrance to I-696), in Warren. I will be joining the caravan "on the fly" at the I-696 and Woodward entrance when WS6Mark gives me the cell phone call.

Heads Up For The "Eastside" Caravan- I-696 closed at Dequindre Saturday at 6:00AM?

Guys, just a little heads up here During this mornings drive time news on channel 7 (WXYZ) they announced a "weekend freeway closure" of I-696 at Dequindre Now I'm NOT positive about WHEN they start closing the freeway on days that they have ANNOUNCED a closure, but I THINK(?) it's 6AM At any rate if the Eastside caravan does leave the BP on Mound and starts going west on I-696 at 6:45AM as scheduled, BE PREPARED to be diverted back off of I-696 and detoured around the closure at Dequindre. Just FYI

I have had to deal with this closure for the last month or so. You guys might want to just stay on the service drive till right after dequindre then get on. Last saturday they had it closed, traffic was routed off @ the Dequindre exit and then I was able to get right back on after Dequindre road.
