I wish I could, but it's my only car. Can't afford a daily driver.

I drive it only when the roads look dry and harmless.

Heck no, I drive it all the time, rain, snow, salt, hurricane, who cares? It's just a car...

Do you store your car in the winter?
This is the first year I have actually had her put away for nasty weather. I think the last time I drove her was sometime in December. She is in the body shop now getting fixed from an accident involving rain, a semi truck and a guard rail! I enjoy driving my 4X4 Jimmy though
Drove it through one winter back in 98. It's been stored every winter since then.
Of course, the last three seasons, one part or another has committed suicide on it at the end of the year. So it's not like I could drive it over the winter even if I wanted to.
It's usually new and improved for the next season though.

I always seem to find some huge project to do over the winter, so she is stored by default. Usually my brother will keep his in one peice and tease me all winter on the nice days. I fixed that this year and blew his clutch out at M7
Tease me will ya

It's in the garage, with fire and theft on it, sleeping. Saves me some money, and gives me time to work on it. I don't think I would drive it anyways, unless it was really nice out. I have a GTP that is quick enough to take care of any urges I might have.
My car has always been stored in the winter. I usually have it covered with a flannel lined custom fit car cover and then sealed in a car bag. This year I didn't have a chance to put it in the bag before the snow fell.
But then I can get it out in the end of March to have it modified.
I'm not lucky enough to have a place to work on it during the winter, but that will change within the next year or so if Q ever has his realtor friend call me.

I've had my TAs on the road for all but two weeks in January of 2000, since 1995. The two week exception was in fact weather related. The break was due to the fact that the '99 TA was full of snow after I rolled it on I-75 and not because I was afraid of the snow and salt getting her dirty.
There are those that want to keep the Bodies in original form and never expose these lovely cars to nasty weather. I can appreaciate looking at these lovely cars when they look so good years and years after they came off the production line. I understand the dedication the owners put into keeping their cars the way the want to keep them.
I do have a greater appreciation for how these cars drive and I simply don't have the patience to wait for the perfectly moisture free day in Michigan to enjoy the sound and feel of a pounding V-8.
I really think that winter beaters should only be used when you have the car up on jacks for some really heavy duty project work for the spring.

now if it was already rusty then I wouldnt worry about it, but since there's no rust Id feel too guilty.
I dont mind driving a beater in the winter though. cause I can go to cheap carwashes, dont care who parks next to me at the mall, and dont care how dirty the floors get. basically its my relax time. plus in late winter/early spring is when I tend to get down to business doin the winter mods. who knows what I'll do this year though, maybe just buy some spray and pray it stays together till next winter.

The SS goes to bed from Oct 15 till April 15 with fire and theft on it to save some insurance money.
The Formula goes away with the snow or all of the local tracks closing whichever comes last. And it comes back to life (hopefully) on Mid-Michigan Motorplexes opening day

Car gets parked every winter after the tracks close and doesnt come back out untill all the salt is washed off the roads. I dont drive it in the rain either.
Ive got a 93 taurus that i bought just for them snowy and rainy days.
