Question Digital Video Camera Guys Help me out.

I just picked up a Sony TRV27 Digital video camera and I made a quick video of my car. Now it comes with the Dazzle software and I am running windows XP Pro and I downloaded the patch for it. Anyways, i hook everything up correctly and I load my dazzle software and hit connect to the video camera and it keeps telling me "Device not working properly" Any ideas on what it could be OR do you guys know of some better software out there? It does come with a USB cable so I don't have to use the dazzle cords if I don't want to. Thanks a lot.

You have to configure the video input in the right configuration. If you want to make quick good quality no frills small size videos with XP Pro, go to START>Accessories>Windows Movie Maker. Should work like a champ!!

I figured it out guys. On the camera there is a memory section where u have to play the VCR and then hit record on the memory stick and then set it up for a USB transfer. I have the new adobe premiure and I like it a lot. But I didn't edit this video. The camera automatically converts it to an .mpg Really nice feature.

You'd be amazed at what is being done on Macs here in Detroit now a days. Wish I could tell you all the good details, but let's just say a few TV stations are getting live sat feeds and running them right through a Mac, within minutes of an event, your seeing it on the TV. And there are plenty of other things that can be done. I know of a 4 year old doing video projects with his canon and Imac... and nope... he set that up himself

Macs are good for visual and media stuff. And also for people who don't know how to use a PC. I am a PC man myself, I just don't like the way MACs are setup. But thats just me.

I hear yeah. I'm a Mac guy and have a few of those, but have a PC too. Also have a 2 button scroll mouse on my mac I have to agree about the mouse thing. But I think they leave that to the 3rd party companys. Have to let them make money too

Both platforms have there purpose. I prefer my mac, but do use my PC for some things. Nothing like a Dell laptop with XP pro with cdrw/dvd
