I haven't had anything worth putting parts on since I moved down here so I haven't been out to look around, are there any stores or shops in the metro area that keeps a number of parts in stock? Specifically I'm looking for a shifter for the GTO but don't really want to wait for shipping etc. would like to find it locally. Thanks for any info.

 

Detroit Speed Shops but they usually have to order stuff anyway.

 

they usually stock the b&m GTO shifter.

 

dont think theyd have a shifter, but murrays on plymouth road near inkster got rid of therehardware store and now have a performance store. they sell nitrous, kits, parts, refills, AN fittings/lines, I guess all kinds of stuff. havent been back in there yet since I moved to the other side of the world. but just another place to check out.

 

In southgate there's a brand new speed shop that just opened called "the bolt-on speed shop" off of trenton rd. by dix/toledo and northline.

i scored a great deal on my 3.73's

 

it's such a hard market to keep performance parts in stock. the 2-3 day wait for shipping isn't that bad and the prices you'll save on the internet? i suppose if your in that much of a hurry. let me know, i'll order it and you can come pay me $10+ extra to pick it up in person. i'll even write you a cool receipt...
