I need a cutout installed, where can I go?
Also, about how much should I be paying?

I dont know where exactly your located, but S&K muffler on gratiot near 23 Mile did a good job for me. I had to wait a while (hour and a half or so) but once they got to my car it took them 20 minutes, and they did a nice job. Cost me $30. Its not a fancy looking place on the outside, but I was referred there by my uncle and cousin... the uncle having a custom exhaust done there on his 70 cuda, and my cousin having a custom exhaust done on his truck... both were done very nice so thats why I took their word for it.

I just called them, the guy at the desk had no clue what I was talking about, then he got a mechanic, he said he wont gaurantee me that he will do it "he may not want to get involved with it"
I think I am going to take my chances elsewhere...

Dougs Muffler on Gratiot south of Hall Rd. 586-469-0099 quick, convenient, and cheap.

The guy knew exactly what I was talking about

He even told me I wouldnt gain much if any horsepower from it, and I told him I was aware.

If they say they dont want to get involved with it, just say "someone from my car club just got his done here a month ago..." and you can truthfully say that.

No gains from a cutout huh? That's funny, it's been proven, heh. Welp, I called dougs and they want $40 and knew exactly what i was talking about and how to do it, right down the road, so I will try them.
thanks people

well if you put it before the cat, i guess that would be a different story. I put mine after the cat... and I have a pretty unrestrictive muffler. I gained 5 hp tops.

I have no cats, long tubes, heads, and a cam, I should gain about .1 (if not more) in the 1/4 and a few MPH, especially after I get my ls6 intake in and get the car re-tuned.
thanks!
