Question derty: Could you help me install a Drive Shaft Loop?

I plan on going to M7, and I want to be safe. I saw what happened to your older Drive Shafts, and I want to make sure if that happens to me, I'll be safe.

I was planning on ordering a Drive Shaft Loop from BMR, and an new transmisson mount. I'd like to get these installed before M7, and I need help doing it.

You are a great guy, and I can't thank you enough for helping me last time. I don't want it to seem like I'm taking advantage of you....just looking for help.

I'll bring over a 12 pack of cold pop as well.

.....My head gasket is also leaking on the passenger side....I did some looking and NAPA has the gasket, but can't order the bolts - they don't stock them. I need to fix this as well sometime, but I need the bolts. I hope I can still race.

I can pay you for your time if you'd like. Please let me know.

Milo.

Putting that loop and the trans mount is only a two hour job. Not a big deal. I'll be here till tomorrow afternoon and part of Thursday as well. Otherwise I can't get to it until Sunday or Monday. Call me and we can figure out what to do.

How does sunday sound??
I still have to order the parts...which I am doing today. I figure they should be here by saturday or so. I'm doing the gears on Friday to Saturday, so sunday should be good.

It will be the Drive shaft loop (looks like we have to take the drive shaft off - will that be a problem?), and the Transmission Mount from Summit.

Taking the driveshaft off is easy. Like I said it's only a two hour job total. Even for the trans mount. I'll just loan you the floor space and you can do most of the wrenching.

I just ordered the parts from BMR Fabrication - they should be here Monday. Would Monday still be good for you?? I get out of work at 5pm, and could stop over.

Hey buddy, you need to come up and get your ring and pinion too. I seen a ad in the bargian section of todays paper where a guy had a 10 bolt rear end for 50 bucks, might want to give him a call too.

Can I get it on Friday? I get paid then, so I could just make a round trip to get the gears and drop the car off. Do I need to get more rear end lube?

Let me know what time/date will work for you.

FYI, I no longer get the paper, so I didn't know about the 10 bolt in the bargian section of todays paper. I don't have the extra $50 after getting the loop, mount, and the gears + install. I'll have to pass on it for now. But thank you anyways.

If you still have the gasket to change after M7, let me know, I'll help you out, no charge. Really shouldn't be that hard. I drink Bud Light

I'll have to wait about 2 weeks before I do that. The gasket is about $13 bucks, but the bolts are $100. No part store carries them around here - only a dealer. I don't the cash to do it right now....but by next paycheck I should.

-But thank your for offering. I'll look you up soon.

BTW, are you a 12 or 24 pack drinker?

Yeah you can get them friday, just wanted to make sure you didnt forget. If you want, you can meet me at work and we can take your car down to the shop. Then I can give you a ride back to wherever you gotta go. As long as you dont laugh at the van You should be set on gear lube as long as you have some. You will need new stuff though. I got the additive for ya here too. We will try to keep it as cheap as possible for ya.

As for Blacksunshine...aka black mullet I hear he can drink like a fish
