Crash the party tomorrow?

http://www.detroitneonowners.org/for...opic.php?t=620

Just found out through a friend that has a turbo neon. Figured I'd go since my car's never been dynoed. I know it won't be impressive, but at least I'll have a "before".

Apparently its open, but it might be nice to see a couple good f-bodies out there. Maybe bringing gifts of food would get them to let more fast cars in

Well, not a good day at the dyno

Best HP: 147 @~3400rpm
Best TQ: 240 @~3100rpm

pretty sad looking chart, tq mountain and hp hill

BTW, those SRT-4's are amazing, stock ones were putting down 220hp and 245lb/ft
Best of the day was one w/ no cat, 100 octane race gas, mopar exhaust, upped boost (17 or 18#s i think, stock is 14#s) 271 hp and 310 lb/ft!!

My buddy's 1st gen turbo put down 214hp and 208 tq, not bad and 400lb less than the new ones.

EDIT: Anyone have an LS1 to trade?? no, seriously, I have an engine/ trans w/ swirl port heads (reason for low #s. Or could trade my snap-on scanner wouldn't work w/ newer car, needs updated cartridges.

I thought the LO3 305 TBI engines were the only thirdgen fbody with swirl port head design.

I think you could be right about those heads only being put on LO3's stock. But the motor is a rebuild, supposedly with about 30000 miles now. (10,000 when I bought it) Who knows, maybe it's an LO3??

I think something happened yesterday at the dyno, it didn't pull AT ALL when it downshifted to 4700 rpm (didn't increase rpm over about a 2sec period), I had to let off so the trans would upshift so I could get around a semi on 696.

PM me if you would like to donate to the "Give Steve an LS1" fund.
