I will be in Grand Haven the week of xmas, so am thinking of driving to Detroit to check out the Chrysler and Ford museums.

 

You might want to check out the Motorsports Museum at the Novi expo center. Chryslers thing is cool .

only in 10th scale, but there are alot of NHRA wallys from the 60's and 70's funny car days

 

you ever go up to grand haven for the coast guard festival? What a freaking blast! i love that area, i have friends there and used to hang out all summer over there.....

 

Yah I have caught part of the festival, nice town. Inlaws live about 1/2 mile South of the action in a private community.

 

If you haven't been in a car assembly plant it is a pretty amazing thing. I have heard the Rouge (assembly plant) Tour at Henry Ford Museum is a good tour.

I havent been there since 1996, when a bunch of us internet Camaro fans all got together from around Michigan for a January get-together. I think Jason D. went to that one, actually. Ten or twelve of us, many of which then ended up at the first Milan event later that year. I drove my Trans Am that January, and took a 35mm picture of the odometer as it rolled over 100,000 miles on I-96, while I had the speedo deeply buried to celebrate the occasion.
