Cheap gas in Okemos!

I just got Ultra 94 from the Sunoco on Grand River and Okemos Road for $2.65/gallon. 92 and 93 octane at all stations in the area (including the very same Sunoco) is 2.75/gallon.

Okay, so it's not "cheap", per say, but still...

Re: Cheap gas in Okemos!

Isn't it sad that we think of $2.65 as cheap. If I remember right, last year this time was about 30-50 cents less/gallon and we all thought that was way too much $$. I garuntee that we will see over $3.00/gallon this summer. And to think in 2000 we were all freaking out about a spike to $2.00/gallon.

BTW, I think that premium at $1.50 should be normal. The prices just cycle up and down enough so we're all complaining, but never outraged (like if it had jumped from $1.00 to $3.00/gallon).

oh well

Sunoco 94 over there for that cheap? Amazing. That's usually the most expensive corner in Okemos.

BTW, Transmission should be going in sometime this week. Gimme a call!

Yep.

Too bad the T/A isnt together or I'd head over for some of that "cheap" gas.
It's been a hectic few weeks, but in a good & profitable way. If it keeps up like this I'll be able to finish off the car by May so that we can move YOURS into the garage and start modding it!

Psst! Want to install a FAST XFI in that car of yours? It can control boost, nitrous, methanol injection, and wide-open throttle closed loop operation, plus run in sequential mode. I happen to have a spare ECM here that will be available soon if my customer doesnt pay their bill...

That sounds like fun... I can't really spare any cash, though... aren't those things like two grand?

Yes, they are about $2K. However I wont be selling this one, anyway. I decided that if the project doesnt work out, I'm just going to return everything to them, ask for the return of my design notes and move on.

Simply offering it f/s *did* get their attention, though! :wow:
