Car Electrical Question

Noticable at low speeds when I take my foot off the gas there is a humming from the hatch area. Is that my fuel pump, power ant making noise, or some sort of feedback from the speakers?? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Gene

Re: Car Electrical Question

it oould be the fuel pump. try listening in the gas filler neck to see if it sounds like the same noise. open filler door, take off cap, put ear near the filler neck to listen. poss. have someone rev the engine lightly to attempt to duplicate the noise.
other poss.s are catback buzzing (sometimes a baffle comes loose inside the muffler and vibrates creating a resonating noise.) and another might be the license plate vibrating on decel. but I have heard a few pumps do exactly what you described.
