Canucks, need some help with Insurance...

Hey all, new to the boards...

Got a family friend looking to sell me a '02 Camaro SS for a really nice price.... But my broker (who is usually really good) thinks I won't be renewed when my current policy ends...

I'm 27, married, never had an accident, no ticket in the last 5-6 years living W of T.O.

Can anyone give me a clue on what they're paying for insurance (and with what company)? She's concerned I might have to go high risk simply because of the car.

Go to Ls1.com in the Great Lakes Forum. There have been a number of discussions of late with regards to insurance rates etc.
Make a post there and I'm sure a number of those guys can help you out.

I'm in the GTA, and am paying MIC about $1800 per year for my '98 Camaro SS. I'm in my 30s and have a clean record. Until a year ago, I was paying Liberty Mutual $1100 per year.

P.S. I'm normally on LS1.com's GLF, but I can't access the page.

My car keeps getting older and my insurance keeps going up?

It went up $15.00 a month to $160.00.

If I did not switch insurance companies I would have been dropped or doubled for sure.

My old Ins. sent me a questionaire about Mods ect, everyone I know who got that form got dumped.

I have 1 ticket on my record .

My new insurance told me that a lot of performance cars are being dumped or having their premiums go way up.

Its the 70's crack down on performance cars all over again

Good luck with the car but get a firm quote first unless money doesnot matter.

Thanks folks.

At least I know I'm not looking at an arm and a leg anymore.

Still open to suggestions, of course
