Camcorders. Which one??

I need some advice. I'm partial to the Sony line, but will consider others.

I'm looking for something in the $600-$700 range. I prefer something with great zoom.

Right now I'm looking at the Sony DCR TR33.

What will you suggest?

Where is the cheapest place to buy?

your talking trv33 which is a mini-dv correct?

i like the sony cameras but they are a bit more expensive then other models. i would stick to 4-600 as 800 for a digital camcorder is a bit much nowdays.

good luck.

I couldn't tell from your last video that you knew how to operate such sophisticated equipment.

That's a low blow Steve. Really hurts.

I'm willing to learn. So, which one do you suggest?

Any Sony, JVC, etc are all going to be good. MiniDV's are nice, but expensive. The little 8mm ones make good quality movies as well. Just get what ever one has the biggest warning on it for removing the lens cap. Maybe something with a bright flourescent lens cap would be good. Sorta like a playschool setup. Then Hot Rod can run the camera up in the stands for ya!

Just make sure you get a Tri-pod also. That way you can make "Home Movies" as well.
