Camaro Superfest 2007 Pictures
Camaro Superfest 2007 Pictures
Had an excellent time at Camaro Superfest 2007 again this year.
Attendance was down a bit, but not bad at all considering Pinks, Downriver Cruise, St. Ignes, and the Norwak (sp?) NHRA event for the first time in their history. Lots of great shows, but still many of us were at Superfest.
Anyway, just thought I'd share the photos for the fellow CamaroZ28 guys.

Congrats on the win, Steve! Was good seeing ya, though we didn't get to chat too much... didn't want to bug ya while you were busy cleaning the car up. The car looks amazing with the new hood, absolutely love it!
The attendance was down, but with all going on it's no surprise. There were still GORGEOUS cars there, and some VERY VERY nice cars for the 1st ever Concours judging at Superfest. One of them I was being an "apprentice" on was freaking incredible, the guy spent more on the steel to restore the body than he did on the car itself. Awesome car, simply beautiful.
Congrats to everyone who won (Steve included) the Michigan Firebird club really enjoyed themselves and my fiance, Angie, had a fun time judging the 4th gens -- she was really impressed with how clean everyones cars were.

Attendance was down to 265 cars, it was close to last year's (I think?) but it just seemed like it was more "gaps" in the parking than last year or at Washtenaw CC. Still a great time, though, no doubt, and can't wait for next years!
Attendance was 246 cars registered, last year we had just over 300.Given that we picked the weekend b-04 the 4th of July and all the other events that came up, it was still a great show!
Next year it will be on the 4th thru the 6th! Mark your calenders!

i didn't make it out there until sunday...
i very disappointed as i didn't take but one picture. the cars have dropped a steady 50+ cars every year it seems. hopefully with the new camaro arriving it will peak some interest in the show. the show use to be the place to be back when it was reaching almost 400 cars. now it just seems like a regular show and the fact it falls on a holiday weekend really kills it if things don't pick up.

I think someone needs to get with the people running the show, and suggest a firebird/camaro split show. no mixing of the cars, but both car shows at same time. I think that would be way better then just either. OR, how bout this idea. have the camaro's of a certain class in one row, next row same class, but firebirds. it would break up the monotany (I cant spell, someone help me out here) of TONS of camaros or firebirds. it might also peak interest in the people bringing cars again cause now they have rivals to compete against.
I was actually thinking about doing the MiFbody Meet & Greet in June, so we'd have the FBody Meet in June, Superfest in July, and I think Trans Am Nationals is August? Not to mention Berger Chevy Show in August, too.
They started losing people when they started switching the locations, people get used to a location and they expect the same, venues change and so do people, not to mention, a few years judging got real flaky, when it was known to be one of the best outdoor judged shows. In the same year I won best contemporary vehicle at the Detroit Autorama and Best in Class, at the Superfest, same car and setup I managed second place in class, but somehow got 98-2002 People's Choice Camaro of the show. Those inconsistencies leave alot to be desired for some. I personally stopped when they changed locations to the current location.
