Glad to see that everyone is mature here. I am a complete automotive freak. I work for Eaton valvetrain as an engineer on the new Ford 3V stuff. I race 410 winged sprints. I have an modded-up SS and a 2000 GT convert. Even got a PT cruiser and a Honda that I drive every day. So no I am not an "elitest". If I want to talk about 'stangs or sprint cars, guess what - I go to the World of Outlaws/All Star/IRA websites or 'stang corrals. I am looking for some F-body guys Mich to cruise with - cuz I am new to Michigan - not new to F-bodys. I am recent to Z-28.com. But of course every jackhole on the internet can post his little "owned, ****, d$#head" because they are not doing it face to face. It's real easy to hide behind a keyboard. Is there anybody down around Kalamazoo? I've been here at Western Mich. since last year and have seen very few F-bodys. Every time I head out I run into Honduhs and NT DSMs with mufflers as big around as my my steering wheel. I'm not really fimilliar (sp?) with the area in detail but dang, this kinda sucks down here.

 

I grew up in Chesaning, but now live in Portage. I agree with you there aren't too many F bodies in the K-zoo area. I've seen more Vettes and Vipers and the ricemobiles than I have F bodies.

 

You started it with your comments about "us" not being here because we dont have F-bods.

Then why with the attitude?

I dont talk about my car much, because it isnt much to talk about. I'm here because I'm an automobile enthusiast, specifically F-bods. I'd love to have one, but at this point in my life, its not practical. Does this mean I cant hang out here?

And you'll find a lot of people here. You just got off on the wrong foot bashing those of us without F-bods. I've been on this board as a lurker and a poster for about 4 years now, and I've met tons of cool people. Not one of them has ever thought less of me because I dont have a Camaro/Firebird. Well, except for Brad, but he's kind of a jerk anyways!

Chris, I don't think less of you because you don't have a camaro/trans am/fast car. I just think that you have enough $$$ usually and you should get somthing. Man oh man, practicality should be reserved for when you're old and grey. My dad was pissed that I was gonna store my camaro in the garage this year but he understands that I am young and need to live life like a young person should. He's had his fun days and wants to see us have our fun days. If you don't have a place to store the car. Make one. Thats not a valid excuse. Hell there's storage units in Jenison for like $50 a month. Thats cheap.

i'm from the niles/south bend area and it's no different. i've seen a few f-bodys around at the local cruise in but not too many. not that i mind much, i can't beat much more than the ricers in my truck my dad has a vette, but he's not into showing or crusing it, just likes to enjoy it by himself *shrug*

 

Whatever..... I'll paint the calipers green on my honda and slap a neon fart can on it and ..... presto!! I'm a high performance enthusiasts. Now put nitrous/blower/turbo/stroker on anything and now your talking. Doesn't matter if it's a import,boat or a lawnmower, power = speed = thrill. Just make it quick if your going talk about it and post it in your sig!
Oh and I been around a lot longer than most of you kids. Not a flame - just the truth.

 

I'll assume that was directed at me since I have painted calipers. My question to you is why do you care? I painted my calipers to make my car stand out a little bit, since there are only a million other red Cutlass coupes out there. Its not like I have a 5" exhaust tip, ricer wing and a god-awful body kit.

My position is still the same. You are an elitest assh*le. Big deal you have a Honda and a PT Cruiser. Would you like a cookie? I'm not asking you to like my car. I could give a sh*t less what you think. But when you come on here and start bashing me and other non-F-body owners and calling our cars "Lame POS"s, you cross a certain line. F*ck off.
