Just wondering if anyone know's what's happening to the old APE building. I work a couple buildings over from there and almost every day there's someone doing dyno's. I heard maybee livernois bought it - Almost every week they have a different car on the dyno. - Anyone know who or what's going on over there?

 

The previous owner of APE before Chris, is tuning cars out of that same shop.

 

yeah, forgot his name, just drop in and get his name and number, he was doing the tuning while chris owned it as well, dyno is and always was his. ape joined two spaces, he kept the half with the dyno, the other half was closed back up and is now open for lease. i stopped in and talked to him a few months ago, nice guy.

 

Yeah, his name is Kirk Deerhammer(sp.?) he also tunes for Wheel to Wheel. Good guy.

I heard Eli was trying to get back into the scene. I do not know what his plans are but Eli has been using the dyno also.

 

I believe Eli specializes in DFI/FAST setups.

 

Eli has only one specialty. Taking your money and f ing up peoples cars. I saw him tuning a car he worked on while kirk worked on mine. Lets just say my car was covered in fire extinguisher powder.

LOL, good ol' Eli. I haven't heard that name in a couple years. Yeah, he had his share of mistakes on my 94 Z, but all at his expense. There's alot of horror stories out there about his work. LOL Eli

 

Ya, Eli "tuned" my bosses 69 Vette with a 427 Lingenfelter small block... It ran like ****.. He took the car to white racing and come to find out the lashings were totally ****ed up the tune was garbage and the efi controller was used when he put it in... real upstanding guy...
