Anyone have an old aquarium they want to sell me?
Anyone have an old aquarium they want to sell me?
Hey guys, I want an aquarium. However, I don't want anything smaller than a 29 gallon. So if you have one ranging from 29-60 gallons that you aren't using and would be willing to sell me, let me know. I would also need a stand, a hood, and perhaps a light for it. A filter would be good too. Oh hell, anything you have for it let me know. Thanks!
Re: Anyone have an old aquarium they want to sell me?
Well if you want a new one, do you live by Rochester Hills by chance? I work at PETsMART so I could help ya out with setting up a new one...

I have a 60 gallon, oak stand and hood, gravel, under gravel filters, 2 rear wet/dry filters (with micro filters), lights and everything. $400.00 Everything works great

Re: Anyone have an old aquarium they want to sell me?
lol, he could probably buy one new for that price!! lol
if anyone has any large tanks 75-220 gallons, let me know, i could use some growouts.
sorry i don't have any small tanks to sell, 30-65's usually sell for a $1/gallon. oak stands/canopies drive up the price. don't waste money on anything but an aquaclear or wet/dry filter, the rest are garbage...
good luck

I thought $400 would be fair seeing that I have over $700 into it and it was only used for 8 months. We moved last year and I have nowhere to set it up right now. You can make me an offer if interested.
Re: Anyone have an old aquarium they want to sell me?
sorry, i'm a cheap sucker, i built my own stand for my 190, cost me about $130 to build it... i know a cabinet/hood/tank combo usually sells for around 400-600, kinda depends on the brand of tank. great lakes tanks are the standard cheapy, all glass tanks cost considerably more. acrylic tanks are way more but better light/clarity and wieght far less. to each his own.
didn't really mean to bash you, i just wouldn't consider it a "deal" i happen to know where i can get a 125 with cabinet, tank, lights for $200 but my buddy is probably getting it.
good luck.

limige, thanks for the bash. You sure do sound like a cheap sucker. Your opinion of yourself and my tank ,that you no nothing about, was not appreciated.

well i decided i may let a 75 go for $75 if your interested, i can hook you up with an airpump, filters, heater but you'll have to find a stand for it. let me know if your interested, i can drill it for 1/2 bulkheads if you wish too.

Hey guy's cmon I didn't mean to start a fight, I appreciate everyones input though. Meissentation, I appreciate the offer but I live literally 3 miles away from a PetSmart, Rochester is a bit of a drive for me!
Limige, I may take you up on that 75 gallon, thats right in my price range. Could you do me a favor and give me the dimensions of it so I could start looking for a stand, and do you have a hood for it? Also, I don't know what a bulkhead is, so perhaps drilling for it is a bad idea. Also, what kind of an engine is that on your website? It looks to be a V10 of sorts, but the only v10 I can think of at the moment is a viper, and those have 2 tb's, last time I saw one??

Re: Anyone have an old aquarium they want to sell me?
no i don't have a hood or stand, i'll look into lights and tops, i may be able to dig you up something... dimensions are 48"Lx18W"x20"H. a bulkhead is a fitting that allows you to plumb up pvc pipe or poly tube for either wet/dry filters or for an overflow or drain. you can rig a drain up so you turn the ballvalve and empties the tank to desired level.
ok, let me know, i also have some gravel i just got too!
as for the engine..yes it's a v10 viper motor. in 2003 they changed the bore, stroke, heads and intakes on the v10's. they use a 4.03 bore 3.75 stroke (i think) and now have the intake with a single tb. word has it the old intake and the new heads are a killer combo. but it's gonna take awhile before i can afford the parts i need for it, so for now it's decoration! lol
