anyone got a stock tank i could get off them?

i'm looking to sump the stock tank, i want to do a quicky switchout so i'm looking for someone parting a car or something that happens to have a tank available. actually if you scrap one you'd have to pull the tank as well..

anyway, email me if you got one
limige1@aol.com or call me 313-515-3720

thanks
mike

got a 3rd gen tank if that would work for you. Im positive it will swap right in , just not positive the resistance range on the float is the same. might have to swap/modify the sender for your float. $50 and its yours if you cant find any 4 gen tanks locally.

I might have a 4 gen float if thats what your needing, or is it the part with the fuel lines? cause you wont need that with the sump, except to seal the hole and hold the float. lol.

well the gas gauge hasn't worked right since i pulled the factory stuff out and now the wires are melted. so yeah, i need the tank with the sender unit...i thought most all GM senders were the same, 3rd gen's aren't different from 4th's are they?

pretty sure the LT1 tank is the same. the sender is different though. but all you need is the float in there right? your goin to have an external pump after the sump right?

dont know if your still interested, but Im planning on goin out to pick up my Iroc this weekend to bring it home finally, and the tank is out there with the car in storage way down in dundee. so let me knw if you are still interested and I'll bring it back home. and see if I still have the sending unit in the tank. but I dont think so for some reason.

how much is the sump and welding goin to cost you? or are you goin to weld it yourself? cause they do make an alum. tank for the 4gens that would bolt right in but its like $500 or something. but might be a better alternative for you if you were planning on paying a shop to weld in the sump and modify the sending unit after you buy all that.

thanks for the offer but i found someone in clio that's putting a cell in their car. we just need to work out a price and date for pickup.

i've got a fantastic welder at work that can weld anything i need done, so i've got that covered.
i'd rather not try a 3rd gen tank, did that once with a rearend and it cost me way more than anticipated. i just want a simple swap out seeing i have to drop the rearend and everything to do it.
