Anyone ever do anything in greater Lansing?

Re: Anyone ever do anything in greater Lansing?
My buddies and I used to go out when it was better, but you're right - the hangouts have been over taken kids in highschool, or fresh out of, that have absolutely no respect for businesses or property. Jolly/Cedar plaza used to be a fun place to go, lots of old school hotrods at first, it was an older crowd, then the douchery began, people started to leave trash on the grounds, do burnouts, race in the parkinglot... Then the bike guys came in, did the same... And neighboring homes, businesses complained - lost that place.
Now when we go out we all just meet up somewhere different every time, and we don't do it frequently with all the idiots out there. A couple weekends ago we were parked at the Tasty Twist in East Lansing with a nice small mix of cars, and a pair of college guys in a brand new Viper roll in, then roll out on to Grand River to floor it going by us. It's not just the primer Cavaliers and big winged Hondas out causing hell.

Do they still do a show at Hooters? Wed or Thurs, IIRC, The old USA Cafe nites in EL were cool.
Anyone looking to start a new tradition in town? How about at Holt Auto Sales? They seem cool. Anyone want to talk with them?

The guys from my site are almost ALWAYS @ Hooters every Wednesday for their shows that start at 5pm. Good idea on the Holt Auto Sales thing, there may be something there.

If you guys arrange something, I'll do my best to show up. I like car shows.
The Flint area has some pretty good shows throughout the summer. I drive over there a lot (my in-laws are in Fenton).
Our Grand National was one of the top-30 vote-getters at a show in Flint on the 4th.

Hey guys, get those cars cleaned up!
My wife works at the bank, and a member of the Capitol City Corvette Club came in to make a deposit in the club's account. She asked where he goes for car shows, and he told her that his club is hosting a Chevy show at Pres Kool Chevrolet this Saturday (July 8) at 9:00 AM. They have details on their Events Calendar.
It's a Chevy-only show, unfortunately. I say we pull together enough Camaros to outnumber the Vettes. Anyone in?

I hang out with bunch of ricer kids in the K-mart parking lot(The new Gut is what they call it).
Since my Camaro is primered black with a body kit and has a loud Blow off Valve, it fits in.

JakeRobb, if you were at the Speedway @ Grand River & Dobie Rd, I saw you leaving today. Was just before noon. Car sounded good if that was you! I was undercover in my truck.
