Anybody interested in a first gen?
Anybody interested in a first gen?
Thought I would list this here too, as I would prefer someone local, rather than carting something across the country....
But I have a 1968 camaro sitting in my dad's barn.
Just planning to clean up some storage space, and maybe, hopefully get a 5th gen when they come out....
But a few specifics.
Orginally a base 327 car.
Now a built 350.
Originally a 4-speed car.
Now has a 2-speed powerglide.
Body is straight, but needs some work and paint.
Frame is solid.
Brakes don't work.
Okay, so it's a built 350, 2-speed, 4-wheel manual drums, manual steering car.
Has 16" Iroc wheels on the car with pretty new tires.
Have a couple 3 hoods, an extra trunk lid, one extra fender, new carpet, new door panels, and some miscellaneous parts to go with the car.
Runs, but doesn't idle well (real lumpy cam).
Not really driveable without brakes.
I have couple of pictures that I can email if anyone is interested.
In the general Grand Rapids area.
Asking $3600....
let me know if you are interested.
Matt

Re: Anybody interested in a first gen?
Okay, now that I am back home, I have a couple of the pics available.
I think I managed to get them out to everybody who asked so far, but if there is anyone else, just drop me a PM with your address, and I'll send those over and answer any questions you might have. (as best I can)

Re: Anybody interested in a first gen?
OKay, I have had more than just a few people asking variuos questions about the car, and have mentioned to a few that I would get the Cowl Tag info, and figured this would probably be the easiest way to let everybody know.
Here is what I got this afternoon
11E - 5th week of Novemeber
ST68 - 1968 body style
12437 - Sport Coupe
Nor - Norwood assembly
51921 - assembly #
TR712 - black standard interior
Y- Butternut Yellow exterior
Z - Black Vinyl Top
And the part of the VIN # 124378N35XXX
As a few people from Canada have written, and one in particular...
I have a clean title, in case you need to get through customs.
The car is straight and has never been wrecked (that I am aware of)
The trunk and at least drivers side floor will need to be replaced (I have the trunk patch panel)
Doors don't sag when open, still latch.
Missing the center console (probably out with the original 4-speed somewhere)
All glass is in the car, and in good shape, no cracks.
Have extra parts, and some brand new parts that go with the car.
Feel free to keep asking if you have specific questions, and I am still sending out the pics I have of the car, so keep asking if you are interested.
Need to make room in the barn.
Thanks again for looking.

Re: Anybody interested in a first gen?
Lots of people seem interested, and I have sent out the few pics I have to lots of people.
But I am planning on another visit to the barn this weekend, and planning to take some more pics, if I can get decent light out there.
So let me know if you are still interested, and I will send out the pics.
And as always, feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Would rather answer some questions via email, than have somebody drive out here and find a suprise.
