Thumbs up

I had my ring and pinion installed there a few months ago. Very quick and very reasonable, I paid $225 for the install plus the installation kit. I supplied the gear, but wish I hadn't because they whine a little and I don't think there going to warrenty it because it wasn't there gear. It was installed while I waited.

They are good gears and very strong teeth. If you look at a set of GM 373 gear teeth and a set of DTS 373 gear teeth it is like night and day. The DTS gear teeth are at least 3 times thicker at the top of the tooth. They make a little more noise than the GM gears tho. I was told the Warren store has the best techs. Also when ever you read about then in a car mag they are always writing about the Warren store doing the installs. Just my .02

I've only heard good things about Scott(1bad86z), and much more reasonable in price. I was going to have him install the gears at first but the timing didn't work out. I will definately catch you next time!

Thanks for the help guys. I 'm going to go to the Wayland store because it's a LOT closer to me. I called them up yesterday an I'll have them do the install sometime after the first of the year.

Jason talk to Scott because he would know best. I have had the DTS gears in my IROC for at least 8 years. You know my car and I run it hard at the track and never had a problem with them. I have at least 100 hard high 12 second runs on them. They do again make some noise but I installed them myself and am not a pro at it. Maybe Scott can install them and make it quieter.

i didn't get your message but just call me at 586-801-8046 asap. i'm interested in the brake package you have for sale.
and thanks guys for the plugs on axle rebuilds, i have done many this season and am looking forward to next season, i have purchased some specialitized tooling that will speed up the process of gear installs, and i cant waight to breakthem in.

just a reminder for all of the winter projects going on, if you need a gear change or an axle rebuild and are willing to take the axle out, then i can save you more money on labor. or if anyone is considering an axle swap to a 12 bolt or a ford 9" please call me i can save you a ton of cash. later scott.

i could definately use one of those setups scott; maybe we could work something out as i could pull the rear and give you the brakes for a little discount.

i'll give you a ring.
