Another update on the RS
The two days of nice weather got me out in the garage working on the car again. It's starting to look like a car again!
The front suspension is done, I'm just a little worried that the front end is going to sit high now that it weighs about 500 Lbs less. I'm pretty sure it will, so I'm probably going to use drop spindles, I'm not a big fan of drop springs, but I might end up doing that anyway.
The fuel tank is now basically ready to go back in. I added a sump since I'm going to use an external fuel pump (a BG 220 to be exact) and modified the fuel sending unit so there's only one line coming out of it, for the fuel return from the regulator. I had the tank coated then I painted it so it should last.
So the tank, rear end, engine, fuel system, and most of the electrical system can go in now.
Looks like it's gonna be raining for the next few days, as long as it isn't too cold I'll work on the car, I'm still expecting to have it on the road by the middle of May. I've waited this long, another month isn't gonna kill me.
I just gotta re-learn to drive a stick now
Anyway
Joe

PA Racing Tubular Chrome Moly K-member and control arms, IROC front springs (seems the RS springs I had are taller and thinner), new tie rods with Edelbrock sleeves (very trick piece), and some other stuff. I'd do more right now if I had the money, but I keep spending money on bills.
Good deal Joe. If you are still interested in another 3rd gen I talked to my sisters kid. He was in the hospital. He said he wants $1,500.00 for it. It needs work but has alot of new parts on it. It is not running but should not take much to get it running. If you are interested give me a call. 586 558/6694
