4 hrs 43 min to ARE, Darren, you car is lookin good

"whats your purpose in Canada?"
"to drop of my motor in Toronto"
"where is it?"
"it's in the trunk sir"

Goofy look

"it fits in there?
"Yes sir"

another goofy look

"have a good day"

Didn't even ask for an id.

They didn't let me run rampant at ARE with the camera this time. But I did get a pic of Darrens car. It was looking good!

People in Toronto are just like some Michiganders, when it starts to snow, they slow right down. That wouldn't be bad, if they werent in the fast lane. Get over people!!

Now I gotta wait a few months more. Steve, I got your stuff & picked up some dam good Canadian whiskey Hell ya!!

Thumbs up

Holy crap you fit the engine in the truck.
That's the first time I heard of anyone doing that

Congrats on becoming another 9 sec LS1 in the ARE family.
Now the fun begins for you this summer.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm actually going back up there tues to do some tuning on the car. Everytime I leave it there, it ends up getting more and more stuff added to it. It never seems to end. Always want more and more..lol

Thanks for picking that up. Can you take some pictures of it and send them to me. I bought it and have never really seen one yet, lol! You know you've been bit bad when you start doing stuff like that.

The car gets 30 something MPG, so that's why I threw it in the trunk. A Chevy Prism at that. LMAO. With the heads and intake off, it fit. I'm going to have to take my truck there to pick it up though.

I doubt increasing the cubes a "little", and spraying 300 hp more to the engine will take me from 10.6 to the 9's. But you never know

I got to keep it a street car, so the downfall is additional rollcage work to make it legal. So, I guess it will be an illegal 9 sec car.

Steve, I knew you were going to ask for pics. I'll take some pics for ya. I think I found some places in Lansing that does powdercoating, by looking in the phone book. I'll do some calling tomorrow.

Guys, I was just reading an ad in CHP that says the world's fastest n/a LS1 F body runs a 9.96...
Sound like a challenge?

Timberwolf, you info is a little out of date and a second too slow. ARE blew away that record with their 422 NOS powered LS1 late this year running a best of 8.97 @ 154

Check it out at www.agostino-racing.com/

No kidding the ARE 382 Solid Roller's, 422 and 427 NA Solid Roller's and even hydraulics are now running 9's. George Coffey's 382 just clicked off a 9.99, which is absolutely insane if you think about it. All without Nitrous!

Well, like I said, they claim it as N/A. And all I know is just reading their ad I'm not claiming it's true...

Those guys are flying!! I thought about going NA, but I felt that the car would have to get too radical for every day street driving. I would have had the motor built differently.

With nitrous, I can get the car to run reasonably well on the street, but build it up to handle a 300-500 shot. This way, I can still keep the car in pimp mode

However, I should still be able to make the NA list, somewhere up there in the top 10.

Holy Cow You plan on running low 10's NA and then a 300-500 shot on top of that?? Can we say low 8's. When is the 12 point cage going in??

I dunno about low 8's. It takes a lot more hp to get faster once you're in the sub 10-second region. Maybe low 9's/high 8's, which is DAMN impressive for a street car. Hell it's impressive for any car!

Well I was being a little conservative on the low 8's. If he makes enough hp to go low 10's NA and then sprays 500 horse, I could see him gaining around 2 seconds if he can hook.

300 Is safer on this setup. The ARE 422 only sprays something like 300 for it's 8.9x passes. A 500 shot would be a pro mod car and that much juice can cook the engine up really quick. One dead spark and then poof! 9's Would be damn respectable. But we all know Harold, that won't be enough by July.

I think the car will run a mid (10.6) on motor, after it's tuned in, and then I'll work my way down, starting with a 200, all the way to whatever the builder says it'll handle. Tuning will be done on the dyno for that kinda shot. The average shot will most likely be a 300. Def need a controler for the street.

I'll be content with a 9.999. Anything in the 9's will get me kicked out anyway, because I'm not putting a full cage in. I figure I can get one good run at every track in the area, before getting licked out.

Most likely wont have it all dialed in until mid summer, if I'm lucky.

Steve, the ARE 422 is spraying more than 300. So a little birdy told me..
