1968 Camaro RS, numbers matching...local sale
I came across a 1968 Camaro RS recently. I don't need two of these 1st gens (well, I think I do, but the wife thinks otherwise)
Specs:
1 owner, bought from Berger, title is still in the original secretary of state envelope with a 6 cent stamp!!
All numbers matching, 99,9% original
327 turbo fire 210 HP
3 speed floor shift
Black interior, Corvette bronze Exterior
Runs and drives great
Has no body rust, paint is shiny.
Engine compartment has surface rust on the firewall, and one small rust hole on the inner fender by the a arm.
Engine is dirty, but complete down to the smog pump and most of the stickers. The washer fluid reservoir still has fluid even
I think the heater core may be bad, as it has new heater hoses, and the core is bypassed.
Odomoter reads 9k, but I don't know if that's 109 or not. I was told it wasn't driven much at all, especially in the owners later years. He did a few parades and thats about it. The only thing I could find was the Berger warranty card book and it showed a oil change at 2700 miles or so, and there is a sticker on the window from a recent oil change that was done about 1000 miles ago.
The original owner died over 10 years ago, and it has been stored in a barn ever since.
And yeas I do have pics, but they show it as I found it, I will be cleaning it up hopefully in the next week or two if it hasn't sold by then and will take new ones.
Email me if you are interested and want to see them. I can deliver to serious buyers within 150 miles of Battle Creek for a reasonable fee.
Asking 11,500 or best. NADA book shows 19k for excellenet, 12k for average. This is way above average and a rare find in this unmolested state. I figure 11,500 is more than fair, but am willing to look at any offers. Could take a partial trade if it was something interesting

<LOL> Its Basically a Grand National GNX in a GTA body.
In 1989 GM made 1555 of them for the 20th Anniversary of the TA they were the first car to pace Indy unmodified and are still arguably the fastest Trans AM (maybe even F-Body) GM ever Built.

Well, I havea 69 Also that I hadn't planned on selling, but for the right offer I could be tempted. It's hugger orange with black stripes. Has the original flat hood and a newly installed (1 week ago) cowl induction hood. 454 making decent power (350-375hp) a 4 speed with hurst shifter, no rust, undercoated, chrome wheels etc
It's not a numbers matching car in any way shape or form, but it'll get a LOT more attention going down the road and looks great at the car shows and cruises. I'll send you some pics and you can see if it is something your even interested in.
