No winter projects for the cars. All the mustang needs is swithching the rear tires and it's ready to go. Firebird needs the basic maintance, plugs, wires, and fluid changes. I'm taking the winter to decide what I'm doing next season as far as racing. A lot to ponder over. Which car, which track, and which class. My options are from taking a year off to installing a box in the firebird and running Super Pro at Maple Grove. The pony isn't real happy where he placed in Street at Raceway last season and is snorting for revenge in '09. Firebird got out only once last year and its time to either race it or sell it. Then again I may choose to be a back-up test and tune want-a-bee.

Personally, I think you should be a career test and tune / wannabe heads up racer.

LOL Reminds me of one of your hubby's quotes. A few year back I was running the 12.0 index (heads up pro tree) and as usuall Rick was helping me out. He looked at my time slip and in an all serious tone ask me if he could race me first round. Yep I do have experience as a wannabe heads up racer.

You smack.

I'm at 12.2s. Why do I want to go faster? If I do heads, I'll be close to needing a roll cage and I don't want to do that....

There's a black powder coated fuel rail in my future. Other than that, I'm toying with a non-stock TB upgrade, figure out my "ABS inop" light, new brake pads, make a new music CD and maybe get a new cool sticker for the back window.

Ron,

John should have your fuel rails and bracket. I gave it all to Harold two weeks ago.

Man, you only own my baby two months, haven't worked on it and are already calling it a pile of ****. Now I know you were the right person to own the car. Seriously, do realize how heavy a fully loaded TA is compared to a Z28?

seriously, you already had a car that you sold as a roller and now your building another one ... I guess you didnt learn from the rest of us did you?

BTW, TA's are only cool if they can spit rocks at poor un-suspecting bikers in a park

That's cool. Not in a rush. Have to get through the holi-daze first. Did Bri send you the $$ for the rails?

It's like 3,880 some fat pounds, whereas the Z28 is around a leaner 3,306 pounds. Although my 97 TA has a lot less trans fat than most.

The times were from a day's rental at Atco a couple of weeks ago. Rest assure if I were to run at Numidia it will slow up at least a half second if not more. But a time slip is a time slip...

Yep, all square on the money. Why is your trans so light?...j/k I know what you mean.

Harold,

Correct your times to sea level. What is it then?

Yah know, the guy behind the wheel has allot to do with how well a car goes..... Good car, bad driver = bad ET! If you can't drive an Auto that TA Manual will be a solid 14 second car!

I know how to drive a 6 speed car. 5000 rpm clutch drop and then row through the gears baby!
