Went to Thompson on Sunday 11-3-02

Tried to take the SS out but I broke my torque arm on the way there We also took our 2000 WS6 out too. My fiance drove it all day. First she ran it with the nittos to a 13.4@106 with a 2.2 60ft. Then we through on my ET streets w/ 25psi and she got a 13.1@105 w/ 2.0 60ft.

Anyone got a OEM torque arm for a 98-02 f-body M6???????? I need one ASAP for cheap. I need an OEM so I can get back to the track next week. I am getting an aftermarket one after Xmas but I need a cheapy now. PLease if anyone has one for under $40.00 email me at scorpionracing@ameritech.net or bmwparts@Classicautocampus.com

Gary if you are out there it me Brian Flick, you don't have an extra do you?

I still have my old one at work. I don't know if a torque arm for a 95 Z28 would work but I don't see why not. Anyway if you want to use it let me know.

Well you said you are going to get an aftermarket torque arm later on. I'll let you use mine in the meantime, so long as you give it back to me when you are done, no cost.

They said on the PA that they will continue to be open until the weather turns ugly. Norwalk is open until the 17th on Sundays from 12-5pm TestnTune

Thanks, I can't believe the WS6 was running so good! I know I would have gotten into the 11s. On the way there I was screwing around(thats when I broke the torq arm). I was going down 528 south, and I pulled into the Marathon right off Rt90 on 528 to wait for Rich with the black GT Mustang. When I pulled back out onto 528 I was in 1st(driving normal) then shifted into 2nd. After I was in second gearat about 20mph I floored it: I got two little hops the the tires just planted and sizzled. I smoked the tires all through 2nd until I slammed third at almost 7000rpm! Thats when the torq arm let go. I was running my stock rims with 275-40zr-17 F1s out back. I didn't even rev and dump. I just floor it without even touching the clutch and did all that. My buddy Chris was behind me and then Rich. Rich said my marks had to be well over 50-60 ft. My car was running so good, I know it would've hit 11s. Most guys with Ls1 equipted like mine are in the 11.2-11.8 @ 117-125mph. So I know the power is there, just got to harness it.

Grease- thanks, would you be willing to sell yours? I plan to cut some stock steel and make corresponding holes from the upper /lower bolts to use as some re-inforcement. I would like to get into the 11s before the tracks are closed. I would hate to borrow yours and bend/break it too. I would rather buy it from you. I don't plan to weld the plates to it just bolt them where the bolts attach. Let me know what you would be willing to do?

At least one of your cars made it to the track My beater decided to crack both hard lines from the tranny while Im down at school on Thursday (in Dayton) so I couldnt get home this weekend. Hopefully if the rain holds off I'll be at Norwalk on Sunday though. *does anti-rain dance*

Tell me about it, all the problems I've had with the car have been driveline problems.
