Torque Converter?

What would be the best torque converter to buy for the set up i will have next spring. 3.73's limited slip diff. 275 40 17 tires and around 360 HP?

Also, what does a locking torque converted do, and what would be the advantages over a non-locking TC.

thanks,

What mods are you getting to get 360 HP? That'll factor in what TC you should get....What are your goals? Do you want a street car street/strip car, etc? Thatll factor too.

I would say go with a 2800 stall, I have a 2800 stall and with my mods it is good but not extreme enough for my combo and cam. I would be better suited with a 3200-3600.

A converter will put you into your powerband sooner giving you more torque that you can use. Get that? Its hard to explain.

The best place to go is www.howstuffworks.com to find out how they work. It does a better job explaining than I ever could.

You want a lock up convertor also.

Im going to be selling my www.protorque.com converter this winter when I do my A4-M6 conversion just incase you would be interested. It brake stalls around 2700 and flash stalls around 3000 rpms.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
