Raceway Park (E-town) still has the event listed for October 8th. There is nothing on SLP website. Because of the latter, it is rumored that there is no event this year.

I emailed SLP directly:

There is no SLP event this year.

The event has been we cancelled due to regulation changes and numerous scheduling conflicts.

I guess we'll all have to rake leaves or somehting else for the day instead...

Since SLP is a no go the NJ crew is heading to island for a day of grudge racing:

I think that NJ crew ought to get some professional help.
I have never heard of a group to be so grudge prone...

I'm thinking of staying down in my own "neck of the woods" and am liking Ed's "GTG" idea. That jet fuel for the 97 TA is getting expensive now. Plus with the PCM all whacked and running soooo rich... the mpg is down.

Ed, you want or should I start a new thread for this? You also have Goodnoe's later on in October celebrating 50 years. I was thinking of entering the coloring contest...

Re: is there a 2005 slp day?

Hey Ron,

Exactly my thoughts, "the cost of jet fuel" Tyler is a nice place to hang out and B.S.

As for Goodnoes, thats a "go" too! Any excuse to take the SS out is fine by me. Plus I'd like to see Elmo May even "build Butterscotch"

I'm headin' out Fri. for Talladega This will probably be the last time. I'm thinking of giving up my seats @ Daytona, Charlotte, and Talladega as I'm losing interest in NASCAR quickly.

Let me know if Tyler/Goodnoes is a "go" buddy

Yep. I wouldn't mind seeing one of those tracks. But I don't have the "pull" anymore. I just have a hard time identifying with all these black vehicles around with 3's abounding. And Jr seems to be going the way of the likes of Kyle Petty. Great Dad but....

Hehehe - what's wrong with a little smack-talk between friends?
