Cool Super Chevy Weekend

It's July 19, 20 & 21 at Maple Grove.

Who's going?

I'll definitely be there Sunday and I'll most likely be there Saturday too. My boyfriend is hoping to have his car done by then so he can race it...my fingers are crossed. If it isn't finished, he'll race either my dad's vega or his dad's chevelle.

So...who should I look for?

Maybe!!! We'll be coming back from vacation on Friday. May go just to watch. I did plan to go to E-town on Saturday for the F-body Nats however I think that I'm done running the Firebird. I ran the Trailblazer yesterday and lost by .0042 in the second round. Poor showing but better than I have been doing.

Unhappy

The 20th is also the 2nd Annual F-Body Nationals at Englishtown, NJ-land.
Carol and I are going to be attending that.

That's it?

Jim is the only one that wants to see tons and tons of Chevys? (bring Linda too, Jim)

I'm surprised...

The Formula has been pulled from racing until I can find the power loss problem. I hope to have the car back for Pontiac day at the Grove on 7/28. Until then points will be collected by the Trailblazer's blistering 16 second ET's. Saturday we'll be playing with Linda's MGB friends. On Super Chevy Sunday we'll be at the Grove. Sad but true F-Body Nats will have to wait for another year. See ya there. I do believe I owe you and Rick a beer.

Well have to get in touch before Sunday so we can tell you what car Rick's racing and where you can find us. My dad will be there too. He's not racing...he was forced to clean out his garage !! He'll be selling parts.

Looking forward to seeing the both of you again!!

Sorry, I got guilt tripped into riding rescue that weekend because I forgot about the Nationals... so either way I wouldn't get to see you.

Here's the skinny to those that are going...

I will be racing the 67 Camaro in the street class. It's red with a white roof (convertible). It needs a major restoration job (all new sheet metal required), so you will recognize it if you see it. The paint is literally falling off and the roof has a few holes that are taped . Look for me if you're there .

Rick (my boyfriend) will be racing my dad's red 71 Vega in the Super Pro class. The car normally runs 9.50's, but the throttle stop will be on because Rick doesn't have his license yet...so it should be running low 10's. The front has some orange primer(sp?) on it from my little trailer mishap...if you didn't hear about it, good .

Rick's dad is supposed to be racing his black with gold stripes 71 Chevelle SS. Not positive about that one yet though. The car's inspection ran out, therefore it would have to be trailered and we already have one tow vehicle bringing 2 trailers up there.

My dad will be in the swap meet trying to get rid of some extra stuff that has been laying around his garage. I think my step mom told him that he had to clean it up a bit !!

So, look for us if you're there .
