So how was SLP day?

Just curious as to how the day went. I wanted to go but I just have so much stuff going on around here with the house I had to stay and work on it. If I keep this up, I'll be ready to go racing again next spring.

I was also out truck shopping this weekend and ran across a 01' K2500 Silverado. 26k miles and in MINT condition. I just couldnt get the price into my "comfort" zone. So for now I'll keep lookin... I'll have a truck by Christmas that can tow the car.

it was a great day soo nice to see so many f-bodies. but dear god those vetts were unreal low tens all day long watching those thing launch made me drool.

it was also nice to see that camaro with the 427 c5r motor wow

but the one thing that just made me laugh was the 3rd gen with an lt4 that slp had just finished the night before what a way to break in a motor take it to the track and put enough of the laughing gas in it to make it run an 11.9X bone stock lt4 with one hell of a shot to it.

sooo much fun

Who won the burn out contest? Anybody pop or set fire to their tires? I was going to enter but couldn't get my line lock in in time.

Was a great day!! Some cars there that were undescribable . I thought the track prep could have been better though! After seeing the georgous Sunset Orange SS nose into the wall!! I was glad I didnt run. By the end of the afternoon though seemed to get better but not at all what I expected as far as track prep is concerned. I think there was a vert 3rd gen that smacked the wall pretty good on the drivers side. Its a shame to see that happen to such nice cars!! Although the dude in the SS, as far a my heart sunk for him when I saw that, it was at half track just about.. LET OFF!!! Was also supprised to see alot of 14 sec LS1's, even some on slicks. Those Vets though were SICK!! 141 mph I left around 3, did they run the SLP Ultra Z at all?

I had a good time and met a lot of new people there. I just ran in the time trials and got 3 runs in, my best was the 2nd run got a 12.7x @ 111 1.98 60' the others were 12.8's @110 That was running on the 17" SS wheels all around, I didn't feel like driving to NJ with the skinnies on up front I didn't run in the eliminations, just watched. I didn't want to push my luck by breaking anything that far from home.

Yeah, I try everything and a 1.9x 60 is the best I have ever gotten out of it. I think my clutch is slipping on the launch, it wouldn't surprise me since it's just a stock disc and SLP's PP. I'm going to switch to something stonger over the winter, maybe a Mcleod or Spec not sure yet. I would love to get a 1.8 or 1.7 60 some time. Then of course I'll probably need a new rear
