Snow = car mothballed...

Well after two days of romping around town for a bit, the 97 TA is now officially parked for awhile as there is snow and ice outside. Sucks. I feel for those there F-body is a daily driver. Been there, done that... now have an 01 Tahoe to get dirty instead.

Well I have to go find some more Xmas lights...

I hear ya' Ron

It'll be awhile before the SS "see's the light of day". I washed her a week ago and wiped her down with Zaino last week, and was going to get in one more ride yesterday. Too late.

Ah well, 4-wheeling in the snow w/ the Jeep now for awhile I guess

I like to snowmobile, but there's no open spaces around anymore.

Scott... trailer or no trailer, I be more than honored and welcome anyone willing to accompany me to the track. Keep the perspective though, I'm always learning from those with more experience... so it will be cool to be part of the filter down effect.

Englishtown, ATCO, Maple Grove, Cecil all run a Sumitt ET Points program. It's about $50 to sign up and they keep track of the points. You don't have to sign up for points to run at the events, just show up. Each track has slightly different rules and number of races. I think Etown runs 12 races on sunday. ATCO runs about 21 on Saturdays, Maple runs 24 races on Saturday and 1 Sunday of the month. The classes are street, heavy, and super. I would recemment the street class. Maple also has a entry street class called Trophy. Each track will put a schedule of the races (will be listed as Summit ET Brackets or just bracket races). It depends how committed your are. If you sign up you feel you have to make most races. Signing up also give you the chance to get some bonus money and Maple has a quick tech card. I want to warn you the brackets at any track are brutal. Don't be discuraged. Bracket racing is not about going fast, its cutting the tree and running on your numbers. I'm running Super Comp this year at Maple. If you want I can give you some help. Ron is doing a lot better after I told him how to use the break pedal just before the line. Bracket racing takes a ton of knowledge and skill. I'm still learning after 5 years and it seams the more I learn the more there is to learn.

Re: Snow = car mothballed...

Same here, the Z went Friday for state inspection. Lots of fun trying to drive on cold nitto and roads.

So now it's put away until spring. It's up on jack stands waiting for the winter moods to begin!

Ron's getting a Cam I'll go "easy" and only ask for a heads & cam pkg.!

Seriously, I've thought about visiting 'Tom Henry Chevrolet' and seeing about getting an engine pkg. for the SS. I saw Tom at Carlisle this past summer and talked to him a bit about it. But money, and not being sure I'm keeping the car for a good long time have me unsure.

I'm not the LSx expert, but PAGregSS is. He's on here from time to time, best bet is to get him on the PA Board www.motorcityforums.com

Greg can tell you what can and such will work best for you.
