Re: SLP day Oct. 9 2004

i got a message from jason short that he plans on going..

jay, are you driving or riding with someone??

so far i got a definite YES from

1 me (dave cerio)
2 gary
3 Bob natale - a buddy of mine with an impala SS
4 one of bob's friends

definite maybes

1 andy C
2 Jason short
3 another of Bob's pals (having his tonsils removed, so it all depends on recovery time)

i would like to be leaving out of syracuse no later than noon friday! i would like to get there early and just relax...dont want to hit traffic like last time. after 10 hours of driving, it kinda ruined the trip. anyone have a preference on when they leave? earlier the better for me, maybe get in...relax go to dinner then do some stupid stuff!
maybe meet up with the southern tier ny people in binghamton ny between noon and 1ish!

im also planning on driving home that saturday, bob has a party to be at sunday morning, but im open to staying another night.

anyone is welcome to call me at 315-430-5075 if needed or is interested in coming along!

cant wait!

dave

Dave it's not looking good right now on me attending. My rotating assembly wont be done for another 2 weeks. So I doubt that the car will be running in time. If it's not running for SLP I am going to try to go down to englishtown 2 weeks after that for the GM hi-tech efi shootout. I talked to Vince last night and he would like to make it to that race and a few of his fellow race buddies are going too.

I'll be in the slow lane.
Beep when you pass me.

I see there's no pre-reg for the SLP event. I guess there's no "goodie" bags. Oh well.

Jim, I may be putting DEEP on the car too.

Ron, I'll bring the wheels with me.

Brain, shallow vs deep you'll be .1 quicker on RT and .1 slower in ET. Also when you go in deep the front tire air pressure has little to no effect on RT due to the reduction in rollout. Biggest RT effect in deep staging is launch RPM. Take your current RT time and subtract .1 to calc what it would been if you staged deep. If your going red drop the lauch rpm to adjust.

Ron, my ragtop is a high 14 second car.
