R.I.P. Scott "myslowcamaro"

Well probaly alot of you local guys have met Scott "myslowcamaro". Scott had taken his own life today.

Well it's been a huge SHOCKER today to find in the lounge that Scott Frequently attends to find this Thread. If you re-read some of Scotts previous threads, he was goin thorugh a great amount of pain and lifechanging phases.

My first reaction to reading this post last night was both sadness and anger. IMO, taking your own life is wrong. (I'm not trying to start an argument.)

Today, after seeing it in the paper, and the reality of the situation....

I can't believe this. I am honestly shocked. But at the same time, part of me is not surprised. I read some of those posts in the lounge as he posted them and just didn't take them as seriously as they were.

I met Scott at the PINKS all out race at Maple Grove in May. He approached me and we chatted for a little while. Nice guy.

I still can't believe this.

Dang.

I had met Scott many times, he got me hooked up with Axcelerated Motorsports and their dyno that I frequent many times afterwards, we took in car shows up in Lahaska and shared a few good laughs at the track and other casual gatherings. He's the one that got the joke started about "what year is your car" when standing behind it looking at the license plate of "97 TA".

Dang.

haha Ron I remember that,Englishtown. Fbody vs Mustang Shootout in October. You basically taught Scott how to Bracket race that day being his 2nd time at the track with his car. I took him to Atco his first time out and his car went 13.1@111 on 2:73's. I got him setup with my gear installer and he put 3:73's in his car and he was goin 12.2@112 that day at Etown. The week after E-town he went to Atco and ran his best of 11.8@118 w/ no changes. I remember him calling me when he ran his new best. So a little seat time and he got much better! Dam I remeber his car just like mine. He used to call me and shoot the sh*t with me bout cars and such evry now and then. When I saw the thread yesterday, I even made an attempt to call him. But nothing

-Ron I even PM'd Dale on Svtsnake, Dale was also in complete Shock

Here he is with a bunch of us cz28 members at the Goodnoes Meet. Scott is to the right of Ron and to the left of my tall a$$.. (Andrews picture ) Classic picture

wow that really sucks... Now that you posted a pics I know who he is. I cant for the life of me remember where I met him, but I remember talking to him at some point. Seemed like a nice dude. Thats just a real shame. At least he didnt hurt anyone else phisycally...

just a real shame. I couldnt imagine what he must have been going thru to make a choice to end your own life. Reading some of the lounge thread it sounds like he had a few problems that he posted about here.

A few years back my neighbors son killed himself....horrible thing to ever see a family go through. Horrible to see a family look at themselves and lay blame...when you just have to realize no sane person would do that...something was wrong.

Such a permanent solution to such temporary problems....R.I.P.

I am stunned...if only I had known how bad things were for him maybe there's something I could've done or said.I only met him a few times but my wife & I talked extensively to him those times so I feel like I knew him as more than an aquaintence. He will be missed. Thanks for letting us know

I visited the above link.. and there are some things I don't understand.. First of all.. I wonder how the police were called.... and why the caller would have said he was holding his family hostage. Second.. it says the "stand off" lasted 8 hours I guess it was only the police department.. untill the 8th hour, which is when swat arrived and he took his life? Not many details here.. Also.. does anyone know how the note to the forum made it to the net?:

"im sorry i let everyone down. i failed. please forgive me, and if its not asking too much, pray for me. i could no longer take all the pain physically, emotionally, and mentally. i hit my breaking point and broke. i came clean with all my demons, letting my wife know i was seeing someone else. ive said my good byes to as many as i could.
i know so many of you were there if i needed help, but you cant help someone if they wont help themself. the more miserable i got, the happier i became. i spent my last night with vivian, a girl who made me happy. because she works for my father in law and is predominantly lesbian, i knew my time of happiness was limited. i did love my wife. we were together since 4/18/92. things just were never the same after a certain point. im so scared of the unknown not knowing what waits for me after i pull the trigger. i hope i will be forgiven for my sins. i am too far gone to turn back. i have nothing left as i pushed and pushed everyone away.
thank you all for everything. carpe diem was mentioned to me before, unfortunately, even the day you live for comes to an end. good bye to all." ---scott---
