Unhappy Oh no, I might have to buy a 69 SS350 Camaro

I found an original SS350 (X55 code) that has 32K on the odometer and no rust except the trunk pan. The rear has already been converted to discs and it's an original 4 speed car. There is no engine or trans and the body was just media blasted so there's no rust or bondo. It's Lemans Blue with black interior. It sounds like the perfect car to put an LT1/6 speed into and drive to work every day. It could be time to float a 401K loan!

ugggg... It sounds like you found a dacent car. I sooooooooo want to build one just like that. Nothing fancy, just drop in a basically stock LT1 package into an old 69Z. Then spend every free chance I get cruising around in it.. Good luck. I'm jelouse

Make mine a 69 SS/RS convertable. A\C is a must. Dark blue\white interior and top with Americian Racing wheels.

I can tell you from experience that if you ever want to get a first gen Camaro, you don't want to buy a body that has any significant amount of rust, no matter how cheap it is. You want to get the most solid body and frame you can find, it makes the rest of the work that much easier and less expensive in the end with a better finished product. My 69 Z28 came from southern CA and it's incredible how clean the whole car is. That's why I might have to buy this car and at least stick it in the garage for safekeeping. A blue SS would be sweet with an LT1 6 speed in it.
