Nice day = rear end problems...

So yesterday I missed a good chance to drive the 97TA because I had the DR's mounted. When I got home, I quickly remounted the stockers rims and tires. Drove the car today to a clients, about 40 miles, then from there back to the office, another 30 miles, all mostly on PA back roads. Well there seems to be a problem with the car shifting from 1st into 2nd, sometimes from 2nd into 3rd but I didn't have enough road to do that one. But definitley from 1st to 2nd the whole backend keep "squeeling" and sliding one way or another to the side! It was definitely more pronounced if I WOT on a green at a traffic light.

So I'm thinking,
1) if I get my SES back, maybe the car won't be so "aggressive"
2) I got a reeeaaaalllyyyy good tank of gas
3) One hell of a mail-order tune from Madwolf
4) Gawd, it's great weather outside!!!!

Let me know if you all are having the same "problem".

Sounds like you got some real problems! The problem with the squeeling is being caused by one of two things:

From lack of driving, the convertor has become tight. Now, normally we could adjust it, but the Black 97TA's somehow didn't get the adjustable one, all we can do is replace it with a looser one.

Oh, and if that doesn't work we'll need to change cams to get the SES light back on.

Sorry 'The Carol', but Ron is going to need an advance on his allowance to buy more parts for the money pit, OPS, I mean the 97TA.

BTW, I got me a drum of that "$5.00 a gallon Sunoco's real good gas" too, I think I better use it up this weekend before it evaporates! I'll let you know if it cures the queeling

The TC is next year.

Drove the car again today. Same problem. I think I'm going to take the O2 Sim off and see if I can get the SES back. Bahahahha.

Can't wait until July when the cam goes in...

That's because your friggin car won't hold the road.

Wait a minute, you putting your "old" stuff into my car.... which means I might have the same problem... HEY!!! You're making my car not hold the road either... AAIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!

btw, Ryan's statement is funny: "Damn kids" bahahahahha... I might schedule growing up in, say, another two years. Maybe three. There'e quite a bit of rubber still left on the rear set of tires.

Well the "good gas" didn't fit it! I still got this high pitched whine coming from under the hood and every time a push the gas pedal more then 3/4 way down the back end of the car gets to wiggling followed quickly by large clouds of smoke.

John... the high whiny sound is the horses. If you put a muzzle on them it won't be so bad. As to the tire problem, someone suggested some studded snow tires....

I do that on the 4th of July instead of buying sparklers!

Bahahaha. It will also improve your 60' at the track, but I doubt you'll get a second pass.
