Angry NEED Rear End (DESPERATELY!)

Driving home 2 nights ago was fun. Minding my own business and not beatin on the SS... more bolts decided to shear off the ring gear and voila! I have a **** rear end AGAIN!!!

Im sick of the stock 10 bolt GM crap... I got prices of 750 bucks for the CEHAPEST used rear end for my car, and its not even the right one.

I have a 2001 SS M6 with NW9 (Trac) with a 3.42 rear in it now... I guess not a lot of those are floating around (probably because they are junk and all break)... and the one I did find was 750 bucks...

I need to see if anyone out there has a used 12 bolt that isnt an arm and a leg (i.e. 2400 bucks) that I could pickup, or if you guys would recommend using an Eaton or Strange posi locker carrier with a nicer set of 4.10 gears instead of the crappy GM carrier... This is the second time its broken, and Im looking for a temporary (per se) fix for the rest of this season, until I buy my 12 bolt setup this winter...

Any suggestions?? Im really starting to regret not selling this f'in car when I had the chance now...

Check http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/ls1catalog.html
When mine finally goes I'm not going to even bother with a 10 bolt, stepping up to a beefy 12 bolt.

Re: NEED Rear End (DESPERATELY!)

I actually said screw it -- OVer this winter when I store it Im doin teh new suspension, rear end, heads/cam soooo I picked up an older 10 bolt rear end, 3.23 non-posi just "limper" and swapped it out -- i twas only 200 bucks so Im not complainin and the car drives great with it in... So, Illuse this for 2 months until I put her away for the winter, at which time the 9" will go in

Thanks though!
