Need Help Again...Car Acting up.....
Need Help Again...Car Acting up.....
(Buffalo Area F-Body owners......I need your help)
I am pulling my hair out every damn time I drive my car. I have the mods that are in my sig, heads and cam etc. This morning I was driving my car, and the car kinda buckled, then the check engine light came on. I checked the plugs over the weekend, they are clean. I dont have a scanner, so I cant check the code. Off the top of your heads, what would a sudden loss of be caused by? I happens sometimes, not all the time....and for a split second, then the check engine light comes on. On another note, when I had my car dyno tuned, the mechanic changed my plugs prior to the car being dynoed. He burned 3 sparkplug wires so they were arching. Would this totally throw off the tune? I need some help tryingt o figure this out before I sell the car this summer...any advice is much appreciated!!! If anyone can help me fix this, I will pay for your time....Thanks guys...

Re: Need Help Again...Car Acting up.....
Are the wires now good? I burned the #8 plug and it ached to the Knock module and gave the car fits! Double check the wire.
Also, I had allot of problems when I went to the 58MM TB. The voltage was way off. So solve the problem I had to elongate the wholes in the TPS so I could rotate it counter clockwise to get it to .57 volts at idle.

Re: Need Help Again...Car Acting up.....
My brothers car did something similar after installing SLP's L/T headers on his car. It turned out to be a fouled plug, which they said may have been caused by his wires, causing an arch? He had to have a plug replaced twice.
When I installed my headers, I upgraded my plug wires, and I havne't had any problems
(knock on wood)

I am running 8.5mm wires, installed on top of valve covers, so there is no way they are arching or burned. Any other ideas?
