Long winter, but car back on the road...

New windshield installed. New vinyl track numbers back on. Fixed the low-coolant sensor by taking the easy way out and unplugging the friggin thing. Pampered-Z help with the new Hawk ceramic pads install and so I was finally able to get a new inspection sticker on the car so I can drive it again since last November 17th.

Need to permantly install the cutout switch in the ashtray and figure out a better way than using duct tape to hold the brake pads on as I keep having to retape them....

Dont use duct tape, it will loose the stick and fall off. You need to go for black wire tie's

I need a windshield as well but the next one I put in will be 1/2 the weight of glass.

Going to pick up my trailer next week, dust off the car and load it on. If Liz doesnt pop before Saturday I am draggin it to E town for a couple runs!!!

Nice to hear that you are finally bringing the car to the track. Been a really long time...

I drove the 97TA to work on Friday. Nice weather and just so nice to drive the car again. But it needs "somewhere" to go so I can get a nice long run in instead of a few miles with traffic lights and what not.

Hope to see you Thursday night as I have the TC and a bunch of other stuff for your rebuild project. Is that rebuild an automatic? If so, I have an SLP "firm shifter" gizmo that I will throw in the box. I never used it because the PCM was programmed for that exact thing.

I also have a full set of Hawk ceramic brake pads that I am looking to unload for a discount.

Let me know when you are doing a track visit...

Nah, you're missing something here, bud. E-town wouldn't let me run without a true muffler. The LSP loudmouth came off. Put a flowmaster on...and because of that...I put an e-cutout on. So now I can dump just after the y-pipe. Or be "churchy-like" and run it through the flowmaster. Which only takes some of the edge off. Bahahahhaha.

Cool! I'll bring the TC and a box of other "stuff" that you can see if you want or not.

E-town let me run the fall of '07 with the SLP loudmouth, but I was told "next time there has to be a muffler". I didn't want to drive all the way over there again and get kicked out, so it's partly why I missed most of '08. However, that issue has been resolved.

If you want, I can scrounge for some coffee cans and we can get a decent muffler fabricated for that demon in no time flat.... Of course the fabrication will be in the 97 standard default color. I don't do "go fast red"... lmao...

Not this Friday and weekend. Busy and outside chores...
But let me know of next one and maybe I can do. You're just a straight shot up the NE-turnpike from Quakertown exit.

Me too! The car is going to get the tune tweaked next week so I'm really looking forward to driving (and hopefully not breaking anything) this year! I would LOVE to see 1,000+ miles go on the car in 09! hasn't done that since 2003. In fact in the past 6 years it hasn't gone 1,000 miles..

in the past 6 years my car has gone a total of 100 miles tops.... and 99 of them were on a trailer

I almost had Liz convinced to let me sell it and go by a 2010 SS!

man that would have been fun!
