Philadelphia PA (AP) - A seven-year old boy was at the center of a Philadelphia courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Philadelphia Eagles, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone

No offense meant to anyone. Just having a little fun. Hey, they've been one of the top teams in the league the past 5 years and, honestly, they've got a lot of likable guys NOT named T.O. (McNabb, Reid, Akers, Kearse). Personally? I like parity and like to see new teams get in there and get a chance so the playoffs should be fun.

EVERYONE (yes, even Eagle fans), have a happy and SAFE holiday this weekend. Keep it under 90, boys.

 

just proves my earlier point to watch out for the "great" Beagles fan. Typical response this "genius" (DT) obviously suffers from an "inferiority complex" just like most Beagles fans. Their "wonderful team" gets their a@@ handed to them, and they resort to name calling, excuses, etc.

Agree John It's meant in fun, but there's always someone who can dish it out, but can't take it. I'd bet this is the same person who's at a Beagles game chanting, for example, "Dallas sucks", Giants suck", etc., but when their team actually is the one who sucks, well, don't dare pick on them.

There are good fans, no matter what team they root for, and there'll always be classless fans....ie. DT =

I gotta admidt... I was a little worried when we lost half the team to injuries and the other half was failing miserably in the drama club before pre-season even started. I fugured at best we only had a 50/50 shot anyway...
