Talking Just Bought 1999 Z28-LS1, $13,000

I just bought a Red 1999 Camaro Z28 M6. The car has 33,300 miles on it. The car came with the power group option pkg, performance pkg, traction control, T-Tops, CD Monsoon Stereo. It also came with the following mods;
SLP Air Box, ported air flow meter, BBK Headers & Y-pipe, Flow Master Cat Back, Hurst Shifter, Adjustable drag shocks and a new Moser 12 Bolt rear with 3.73 gears. Also Metco LCA's. I'm not sure what to expect for 1/4 times yet, any idea's? The tranny shifts real nice as well. Also any idea's as to what should be my next mod other than free mods. I think it already has all the free mods. A guy from Albany was on the way to look at it just as I put the deposit on it today. The bank already approved the loan so Tuesday night it will be in my yard. What do ya think guys?

Sounds like a good deal to me too...if I get this second job I am going to go hunting too. I saw a 99 hugger Z for 14,500 with 20,000 miles. So sounds like your deal is good.

Yo Fred! Congrats bro... sounds like a good deal to me... espesially with a 12bolt already in it. Thats a $2k item right there.

So how have ya been bro? I dont think I've talked to you in about a year. And I know its been way longer than that since we hung out at the track. Cant wait to see the new ride. Maybe in the spring when I debut the new and improved "ProjectZ" we can hit E-town together.

BTW, if I had to do it over again... I'd go straight to nirtous.

Hey Brian what's up! Yeah after I spent $1,000 bucks getting the heads done up for my 94Z to find out I had something major break in the bottom end I didn't post or go to the track for like a year now. It was killing me not to have a Z28 and I kind of missed the interaction with the guys in here "So I'm back!" This time I'm going to have to drive harder as I got an M6. I'm really not sure what the 99 will trap. What's the status of your 96Z? I'm going to SLP customer appreation day. The guy I bought the car from already registered the car. I think I'm going to dyno the car while I'm there. Anyone know the price for the dyno? I paid $60 when I was there with the 94Z. Brian are you going to SLP day? I gave the ET Streets to Jason so now I guess I'll have to purchase some BFG drag radials.
I pick up the 99Z Tuesday night. I can't wait.
My speedo is reading like 15 mph less than the actual speed in the 99Z.. The original 10 bolt had 4.10 gears in it and the computer was reprogrammed for the gears. The guys told me he got the new 12 bolt from his friend who wrecked a 2000 Z28 & the guy couldn't remember whether it had 3.55's or 3.73's when he gave it to him as he had been trying different gear sets to find the best one for his car. Shy of dropping the rear cover is there any other way to figure out what gears are in it? I'd kind of like to have a accurate speedo..

Antz beat me to it.

high 12s at 110 sounds about right as long as you have a decent drag tire under it!

12.87 @ 110.02

goodluck and congrats on the car.
