Job oppertunities in N NJ? (Operations?)

I mostly post in the Lounge but the Northeast is where I live!

Basicaly I'm trying to get out of Sales and into some type of business operations position or just about anything else business related. If anyone has any openings or ideas please share, and if anyone would like to see my resume just let me know and I'll e-mail it to you!

Thanks
~Chris

Chris -

What type of business are you interested in?

You may or may not be interested but banks are always looking for people to start on the ground level - tellers. I know it sounds cheesy but you can move quickly in a bank branch as turnover is huge. Sovereign is always holding job fairs in the board room on the 1st floor of my building...

Our company has quite a few listings right now. We are a bank technically, but we really subservice loans. If you're looking for an MIS position there is a computer room operator position and a SQL programmer position available right now. Take a look at our website at www.cenlar.com and check under the career opportunities section. Mention my name if you do talk to anyone in our human resources area, I've been here almost 18 years so they know me well!

Actually yes. The BSA act is homeland security related and involves checking your customers to see if they might be terrorists, drug dealers, wanted criminals, etc. The law requires companies to report this information and then do things like freeze their assets. I can ask the guy who runs the department, I run a lot of the BSA stuff for him. We currently service 320,000 loans and we'll be bringing in more in the near future.

That would be great if you could find out more about it Jeff. I'm currently a Credit Review Officer for Sovereign Bank in the Internal Asset Review department. We are basically the internal audit group responsible for reviewing loans in any given commercial loan portfolio after they are booked to insure proper risk rating, documentation and monitoring are being maintained. If you are familiar with the OTS (Office of Thrift Supervision - government agency) - we do what they do so their job is easier when they come to examine our files.

Anyway, I would really appreciate it if you could find out more Jeff.

Thanks!

I'll ask more about it. I know all about the OTS, our company was one of the few to survive the late 80's and early 90's.

nothing in NJ but I believe my company is looking for an Operations coordinator in our Bensalem branch. There are a ton of positions open in all branches and departments. Not sure how far you are willing to go. Just thought I would throw it out there for ya. Its a great company to work for.

www.ransome.com

They list all of the job opportunities in the career section. If you happen to see somthing you are intrested in I can submit your resume to HR. Basically it would put you at the front of the line and get me $500 if you were hired and stayed on for a year
